Sue worked in the family real estate, development, and appraisal business known as Hardt Realty Companies. She is survived by her uncle and aunt, Don and Joan Degenhardt; and several cousins. She will also be dearly missed by close family friends, Jim and Linda Clements, Flo and Kimberly Sandy, Pam Marstellar, and Joey Wasiecko. FICKTER DAVID WEST Age 80, of Haines City, Florida passed away Monday, April 20, 2015, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale. He was born May 12, 1934, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Charles and Theresa (Conner) Fickter. He had been a resident of the area for 22 years, coming from Waverly, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force. He started his career in Pittsburgh with State Farm and New York Life Insurance companies then worked for Mellon National Bank, now BNY Mellon and served as senior Vice President of Mortgage Services. He then moved to Northeastern Bank in Scranton, PA which was later purchased by PNC Bank from where he retired. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Fickter; sons, Charles W. Fickter and wife, Mimi of Pittsburgh, PA, Donald J. Fickter of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren, Kettie and Kerbie. LESTER WALTER WALLY PAUL, JR. Passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 20, 2015. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and was predeceased by his parents, Rita and Walter P. Lester, Sr.; and a brother, Gary. As a teenager in the '50s, Wally and others formed a singing group called the The Crescents. Later, he met Jimmy Beaumont, Janet Vogel, Joe Verscharen, and Jackie Taylor. They went on to form the The Skyliners, and together they wrote and recorded "This I Swear" and "Since I Don't Have You", a song that went on to win a Gold Record in 1959. The Skyliners toured with the Dick Clark Caravan of Stars. They recorded numerous other hits, which were featured in various movies and recorded by other Artists. He was a member of ASCAP and was elected to the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame. Walt retired to St. James Plantation in 2002, from Fairfax Station, Virginia where he had a long career with Clairol, Inc. He left behind his wife of 51 years, Cecelia (Fuga) Lester; and sons, Douglas (Lisa), David, Darren (Shawn) of Northern Virginia and Daniel (Becky) of Southern Shores, NC; eight grandchildren, Jonathan (Samatha), Alaina, Kevin, Dylan, Allison, Madison, Justin, Matthew Lester; and one great-grandson, Shane Lester. A Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, NC on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 1 p.m. After the mass he will be interred in the columbarium at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a luncheon will follow in the Church Social Hall. EMMETT WALTER S. Walter, age 90, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015. Loving father of Margie (Gary) Hoffman and Walter (Elizabeth) Emmett, Jr.; brother of William (Garnet), Kenneth (Elanor), Edward (Rose), Vanessa (Gene) Traggardh, Ann (John) Krhovsky; son of the late Harry and Bessie Emmett; formerly married to Margie Patrick; grandfather of six, Lance, Amber, Christian, Bradley, Michelle, and Joshua; and great-grandfather of nine, Katherine, Zachary, Ella, Gabriel, Maggie, Lucy, Jillian, William, and Madison; also survived by many nieces and nephews who cherished Uncle Walt.
