She was born and raised in Sewickley, daughter of the late Antonio and Giovanna (Scalercio) DeGori. On March 30, 1993, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, James Farbo. Loving mother of James R. Farbo of Moon Township and the late infant Baby James; cherished grandmother of James Michael and Matthew James Farbo; loved sister of Elizabeth Rhodes of Imperial; and sister-in-law of Alice DeGori of Sewickley. She was preceded in death by siblings, Cecelia Barone, Rachel Brunette and Norman DeGori. She was a very faithful member of St. James Church and a graduate of Sewickley High School. She had retired from Quaker Valley Schools. Eleanor was proud to be from Sewickley, loved to walk in the Village and enjoyed flower gardening. He was born in Pittsburgh on March 18, 1954, a son of David and Lynn Southworth Modrak. He served for four years in the United States Air Force. David was the beloved husband of Tere Nowak. Damiani; loving mother of Sharon, Philip, Robert (Kim Green Cappuccio) and Mark (Valerie); cherished grandmother of Sarah (Matt) Fabian, Miranda (Micah) Howell, Vincent Damiani, Breanna Damiani and Billy Cappuccio; also survived by a sister, Jennie Fratti of Hershey; and nieces and nephews. ILDA was born in Hershey, PA on May 26, 1926, and was the third child of Roberto and Assunta (Ricci) Plebani. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nicholas Plebani, Norma DiClemente and Nicholas R. Plebani. ILDA graduated from Hershey High School in 1943. She was the secretary to the head of the Department of Accounts Payable of the Hershey Co. from 1943-1948. She married Francis Frank Damiani on June 12, 1948, and moved to Salem, WV where her husband was the head football coach of Salem College. They returned to Carnegie in 1949 before the birth of their first child to open a business The Sports Center. ILDA also worked as a sales associate for the Joseph Horne Co. during the 1970s. ILDA devoted her life to her family, supporting her husband, raising her children and loving her grandchildren. ILDA was an excellent cook and many Italian delicacies could be found at her dinner table. ILDA was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan cheering her Pittsburgh teams to victory. ILDA will be remembered for her guidance, her cooking, devotion to family, as a helpful neighbor and loyal friend. WEDGE CHARLES ARTHUR, Jr. BUD Age 95, of Evans City, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, April 16, 2015, while under the care of the Butler VA Medical Center. Born in Swissvale on January 18, 1920, he was the son of the late Charles Arthur Wedge, Sr. and Eleanor Steele. Bud was a faithful member of the St. John's United Church of Christ. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in engineering and was a former president of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He owned and operated Beahm's News Depot for over 30 years. Bud retired in 2002, at 82 years of age, as an Inspector in the Department of Weights and Measures for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was a member of Infinity Lodge # 546 F & A.M., the Rotary Club and American Legion of Evans City, Ancient Accepted Scottish Write Valley of New Castle, and a past commander of the Legion of Honor of the Syria Temple. Bud was also past president of Butler Caravan #14 and a former board member of the Planning Commission of Jackson Township. He loved to play the bugle with the Legion of Honor in their parade activities. In the last six months of his precious life, he developed a passion for playing bingo. He will be most remembered as a gentleman farmer, a voracious newspaper reader, and a family man. Bud will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 65 years, June (Beahm) Wedge, whom he married on May 6, 1949; his four loving children, Barry (Ruby) Wedge, Jamie (Richard) Wisniewski, Joyce Wedge, and Jill (Mike) Bemis; his five grandchildren, Heather, Brian (Cherry), Bridget, Jason and Nicole; his great-grandchild, Connor; his sister, Rose Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his two sisters, Dorothy and Virginia. FIDISHUN SISTER M. MARCIA (ELEANOR), O.S.F. Sister M. Marcia, age 81, a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis, United States Province, in her 58th year of Profession, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Bethlehem, PA. Sister entered the community from St. Michael Parish, Tresckow, PA in 1956 and professed her first vows in 1957 in Mount Assisi Convent Chapel in Pittsburgh, PA. In her early years as a professed sister, she attended classes at Mount Mercy College in Pittsburgh, PA, now known as Carlow University and from Holy Family College, Philadelphia, PA. During her years of ministry, Sister Marcia taught the primary and middle grades in many parish schools in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey, where our sisters ministered. From 1985-88, she was the principal of SS. Cyril and Methodius School in Clifton, NJ. After more than 30 years in grade schools, Sister Marcia spent 14 years teaching children in preschool and after school care. Her last years of active ministry from 2004-13 were spent at Monocacy Manor helping as a clerical aid in the finance office. In her spare time, Sister Marcia enjoyed working on crafts, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and reading. She will be missed by the sisters, her family and the caregivers at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA where she spent her last two years. Sister Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Veronica (Kozel) Fidishun; brothers, Bernard, Vincent, Patrick; and her sister, Ethel Sofianek. She is survived by her religious community; her brothers, Joseph and Thomas; her sister, Elizabeth Ceol; and her nieces and nephews.
