BRILL GERALD R. "JERRY" Age 84, of Grayson, Georgia passed away peacefully, at his home, on Monday, April 6, 2015, with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 8, 1930, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Frank and Clara (Fabio) Brill. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Jennifer Brill. Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his time in the Air Force he worked in Insurance Sales as a Manager for the John Hancock Insurance Agency. He owned and operated his own music store in Dormont, PA, where he repaired musical instruments, with music being his passion in life; he pursued a career as a professional musician. He also worked at Volkwien's Music, in Pittsburgh, PA, before retiring. Jerry's love for music would allow him to play in many different bands in and around the Pittsburgh area, including his own band, "The Jerry Brill Orchestra". Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Geraldine F. (Martinelli) Brill; his children, Gerard R. Brill and his wife, Susan E. Brownlee Brill, Francis Christopher Brill and his wife, Ellen Grindell Brill, and Susan Brill Millard and her husband, Robert F. Millard; his grandchildren, Andrew G. Brill, Gerard Thomas Brill, Olivia R. Brill, twins, Michael C. and Allison C. Brill, Daniel C. Millard, and Rachel F. Millard; and his sister, Phyllis Kruzel Brill. PORTER AUDREY HEISER Audrey Heiser Porter, age 88. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late George Ellis Porter, Sr., died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at home. She was the loving mother of two sons, George Ellis Porter, Jr. and David Alan Porter. Reverend George and his wife, Kathleen, of Franklin, PA, are the parents of Ellen Marie Kiley, George Ellis Porter III and Emily Kathleen Fuller. David and his wife, Victoria, of Omaha, NE, are the parents of Sarah Elizabeth Marfisi and Kathleen Nandi Mae Porter. Ellen and James Kiley are the parents of James and Jack. George and Vicki are the parents of Claudia and Cara. Emily and Christian Fuller are the parents of Elliot and Amelia. Sarah and Anne Marfisi are the parents of Elizabeth. Katie lives in Los Angeles, CA. Audrey had lived in Omaha since July 2011. Previously, Audrey resided with her son, George, and Kathleen in Indiana, PA after her husband's death in 2005. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Helmstadter Heiser; and her brothers, John, Fred and Robert. She has many dearly loved nieces and nephews. She also has several cousins and many relatives who were important to her, as well as a sister-in-law, Agnes Porter Green of Warren. Audrey was born in McKeesport, PA in July 1926. She graduated from Clairton High School in 1943, and from Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She and George were married in 1948, and over their life together lived in Warren, Philadelphia, Philipsburg and Clairton, PA. She worked as an RN at Warren State Hospital, at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, Philipsburg State Hospital, and Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was a Red Cross Nurse in the 1960s and taught courses in Home Nursing as well as doing a bit of disaster Nursing during flooding in the West Elizabeth area. Audrey was active at Pine Run United Methodist Church, in Clairton, for most of her life. She helped to start a Parish Nursing Ministry at Pine Run UMC in Clairton, one of the first in the area. She helped to show her love of the Lord by teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, being active in the United Methodist Women, and taking part in various programs and activities in the church that she loved throughout the years. While living in Indiana, PA, she got to know many wonderful people there, and loved Trinity United Methodist church as well. Visitation will take place Friday, April 10, 2015, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St., Clairton, PA 15025. Everyone will meet at the church, Pine Run United Methodist, 901 N. 6th St., Clairton, PA 15025, for additional visitation at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, with the Service of Resurrection at 12:30 p.m., presided over by Rev. DENTON WILLIAM HAREL BILL, Jr. Of Scott Twp., died on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the age of 65. Mr. Denton was born in Raleigh, NC on July 2, 1949, the first of three children born to William H. Denton, Sr. and Evelyn Imogene Andrews Denton. He is survived by his son, William Harel Denton III of Evergreen, CO; his former wife, Leslie Hohing Denton of Mt. Lebanon; his sister, Hillary Denton Brightman of Orlando, FL; his brother, John R. Denton II of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two nephews; and one niece. He had previously been married to Mary Crow of Monticello, AR, Cynthia Nix of Stamps, AR, Jean McGranahan of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Beason Arant of West Monroe, LA. Mr. Denton enjoyed several careers, and had worked in the Information Technology field for the past 27 years. He previously worked as a Fire Protection Sales/Design Engineer, as a Civil Engineering Technician and as a Radio Disk Jockey at stations in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina. He was the author of two novels, "Surfer Girls" and "Welcome to New Tipton", and a novella, "Fortune Cookies." He had previously resided in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Chicago, IL prior to moving to the Pittsburgh, PA area in 2008. He had played drums for 50 years, also played guitar and had a small recording studio in his home. A Memorial Service will be held at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Rd., Mt. SCUTICCHIO ROBERT J. Suddenly, on Sunday, March 29, 2015, Bob Scuticchio passed away at home in Port Orange, FL. Bob was born on September 30, 1936, to Sebastian and Antoinette Scuticchio in Pittsburgh, PA. He grew up in the Mt. Washington area of the city and was known to his friends as Scutch. Bob served two years in the U.S. Army stationed in Alaska, and then retired as Senior Vice President of Parkvale Savings Bank after 27 years with Parkvale Savings and 40 years in the banking industry. Bob was inducted in to the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers Hall of Fame in l997. Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor, his ability to communicate with anyone, and his loving devotion to his family. Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Ruth Ann; children, Dean Scuticchio (Rene Direnna), Carla Duerr, Anita Scuttichio and Richard Martell (Vivian); grandchildren, RJ Duerr, Max Duerr, Christian Scuticchio, Zachary Martell, Lexi Martell; and his best buddy, Shingles.
