DEBORAH A. CELLER COOPER Age 65, was born May 25, 1955, to the late Willie Celler and the late Mary Lou (Bell) Celler. She joined our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Celler. Deborah worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse in Pittsburgh for over twenty-seven years. She loved to share her medical knowledge with others, especially with women who also battled breast-cancer. Deborah was an active member within many cancer and diabetic support groups. Her passions included cooking, arts and crafts and Christmas decorating. She is survived by her children, Camille (Oscar) Fortson, Michael A. Heath, Jr., and Ron (Michelle) Burris; two grandchildren, Sharlize and Heidi; sisters, Vanessa (Ricky) Smith, Dorothy (Lewis) Celler and Roberta (Michael) Simpson; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. MARY ALICE (HERMAN) KOZAR July 18, 1932 - July 14, 2020 Days before her 88th birthday, Mary Alice passed away peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living-Upper St. Clair, after a long battle with Parkinson's and Parkinson's Dementia. She was the beloved wife of Elwood Kozarfor 67 years and was the cherished mother of Sharon Kozar (Tom Delorie) and Richard (Julie) Kozar. As a grandmother, she was adored by her five grandchildren, Jamie (Brad) Heagy, Andrew (Corrine) Kozar, T.J. (Jamie) Delorie, Brian (Lindsay) Kozar and Kali (Matt) Mullen. In recent years, she was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Ella, Grayson, Harrison and Charlotte. A graduate of St. Wendelin High School, Mary Alice worked for several law firms in Pittsburgh before completing her work career at Mackintosh-Hemphill on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Her retirement years brought much happiness as she spent time with friends, neighbors, and family, especially her grandchildren. She and Elwood were avid travelers and had the opportunity to enjoy many trips in the U.S. and abroad. She will be missed but now rests with the angels. Family would like to thank everyone at Sunrise Senior Living, Gateway Hospice and Country Meadows for their love and support over the last few years. DONALD H. KELLER Donald H. Keller, a Christian, conservative, familyman, veteran and teacher, a resident of Masonic Village since 2004, formerly of Friendship Village in Upper St. Clair, passed away on July 16, 2020, at Masonic Village of Sewickley. He was 88. He was born in Pittsburgh on June 30, 1932, one of four children to the late Phillip and Cecilia (Meyer) Keller. Don owned and operated a small farm in Cochranton, PA. Donald learned a strong work ethic participating in all farm duties, raising cattle, horses, mules etc. Donald married the love of his life on July 9, 1955, Mary Lou (Sievertson) Keller. Their marriage of 65 years blessed them with three beautiful children, Mary Anne Boff (Michael) of Pittsburgh, Donna Keller Mittner (John) of Carnegie and the late Eric Keller (1960-2010); also six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Cel Kujawa; and brother, Robert Keller. Donald was a 1950 graduate of Bloomfield Consolidated School in Lincolnville, PA and obtained his BS in Education from the University of Pittsburgh taking night classes. A hard worker as an electrical engineer, instructor and administrator, he worked 32 years for J & L Steel Corp (LTV Steel) and 14 years for North Western Rural Electric Co-op in Cambridge Springs, PA. He worked in the field services department for the electrical co-op. Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a 65+-year member of F & AM Doric Lodge #630 of Sewickley, PA. Donald, a former member of Christ Church at Grove Farm, was a member of The Non-Denominational Church at Masonic Village at Sewickley. Always trusting in God, he had a strong Christian faith and foundation, loving Jesus Christ as his Savior, working hard, and loving his family. DENNIS C. POWELL Peacefully after a long fight with cancer on Friday, July 10, 2020, Dennis C. Powell, 68, of Penn Hills, PA. Born to the late Moda Mae and Alexander T. Powell, Sr. Dennis was preceded by Constance Powell Oliver (Ira), Kenneth Melinda (Karen) Powell, Alexander T. Powell, Jr. (Dolores) and Larry (Faye) Powell. He was the first Afro-American to attend Lebanon Junior High School and West Mifflin South High School grades 5 through 12, where he played basketball and ran track. He went to the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained a double major in History and Political Science graduating Cum Laude; and obtained his (Juris Doctor) doctorate degree in law some 20 years later. He was a member of Phi Eta Sigma (National Honorary Society) and the great fraternity of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. for 50 years. Dennis loved classic cars and was a avid car collector until his health was failing him. At one time he was Ebony Magazines most eligible bachelor as well as on the cover of Pittsburgh's Magazine for bachelors until he met the love of his life loving wife of 31 years, Barbara Ann (Headen) Powell, along with stepchildren, Keyane and James III. Dennis also leaves to cherish his memory son, Derrick (Romika) Hodge; sister, Brenda and Rev. Troy Dixon; Yvonia Smith and family. CLELIA (DEPASQUALE) SCIULLI Age 91, on July 14, 2020. Born an American citizen on March 14, 1929, in Gamberale, Italy, to the late Nicola and Nunziata (Casciato) DePasquale. Her father had become an American citizen while working in America in the 1920's. He passed away when mom was 2, she never knew her father whom she always revered for having given her the gift of America and freedom. She married the love of her life, Michelangelo, in 1950 and they emigrated to America in 1952 with their first born, Carmela. They settled in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh. Over the next several years, because of her citizenship, she was able to help many family members emigrate to America. Mum was an exceptional cook and baker. She and her sister, Gemma, became talented cookie bakers and shared their talent and love of baking for many paesani weddings. She was a devout Catholic, especially devoted to the Blessed Mother. She lived her life selflessly and honorably, with grace, humility and altruism. She was proudly dedicated to and fiercely protective of her husband and family. Mum always took the back seat and never sought attention nor the spotlight. She was always willing to lend an ear or a guiding hand and her words of wisdom touched many lives, especially her children and grandchildren whom she adored. If you walked in her home, you were greeted with a sangweech, a cup of coffee and pizzellesno one ever left hungry from Nonna's house. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Michelangelo. She will be forever missed by her children, Carmela (Anthony) Corradetti; Antonio (Ann) Sciulli; and Nancy (Sabatino, Jr.) DiNardo; her grandchildren, Luciano Corradetti, Sabrina Corradetti; Melissa (A.J.) Sciulli-Greco; Dr. Jessica Sciulli (Ramon Catania); Gabriella (Jonathan) DiNardo Hash; Bianca DiNardo, Esq., and Sabatino DiNardo, III; and great-grandchild, Nico Corradetti. She was predeceased by sisters, Ada (Antonio) and Gemma (Donato) Pollice; brother, Francesco (Clotilde) DePasquale; brothers-in-law, Adelmo (surviving Pasqua) Sciulli; and Domenico (surviving, Nicoletta) Sciulli; and sisters-in-law, Donata (Vincenzo) Sciulli, Dora (Nello) Vertolli. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Lina (Antonio) D'Andrea and many nieces, nephews and friends. There is a void in our hearts that will never be filled. Her legacy of love for faith, family, friends and country will live on in each of us. May you rest in eternal peace, Mammina, until we meet again. Job well done.
