Born June 5, 1931 in Greentree, PA, a son of the late Paul and Hilda (Nimpfer) Schneider. Harold served as owner and President of H. J. Schneider Construction, Inc. until his retirement in 1999. He served as President of the Western Pennsylvania Utility Contractors Assn., and as President of the National Utility Contractors Assn. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, NRA, Judicial Watch, Elks Lodge, Lions Club, Keystone Elk Country Alliance, Butler County Law Enforcement Officers Association, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Ruffed Grouse Society. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and ?shing. Harold leaves behind, sons, Harold Harry J. (Elizabeth) Schneider, Jr. of Karns City, David L. (Deborah) Schneider of Portersville, and Daniel K. (Brenda) Schneider of Harmony; daughter, Constance Connie S. Gowder of Tennessee; sister, Mary Lou Murray of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren - Hilary, Jena, Dana, Harold III Hal, Emily Rose and Brooke and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Rose E. Schneider (Rose E. He was born on February 12, 1932, in Carnegie, a son of the late Frank J. and Ann Zarvis Mazur. A 1950 graduate of Robinson Township High School, he was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church. Mr. Mazur had worked as a supervisor for Owens Brockway Glass Company. He often appeared on public television in Zanesville, OH, talking about the company. Frank enjoyed playing golf. On June 14, 1952, he married Lillian A. Morne, who survives. GAUL LOUIS M. Age 89, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on February 12, 2019. Born May 27, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Lou graduated from Penn Hills High School then attended the University of Pittsburgh where he also obtained his master's degree. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean con?ict and returned to work for Jonasson's Department in downtown Pittsburgh. There he met and married Joanne Hartnett of McKeesport. During a long and varied career, he used his many talents as both a banker and retailer managing what was then the Horne's Store in the Monroeville Mall. Fellow coworkers admired both his dedication and work ethic. Lou and Joanne enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage and were wonderful parents to their three sons. Six grandchildren delighted in their Pop-Pop as he regaled them with his entertaining stories, various antics and his encyclopedic knowledge of events both current and past. Lou's passions were classical music, golf and family. He was a voracious reader and always had a book nearby. For decades he played the organ for worship at his home church, Grace Lutheran, in Universal. His last years were spent at Concordia's Haven 2, where he fostered many good friendships and was admired for his wit, kindness and willingness to help out a neighbor. His sweetheart passed in 2017 after a long illness. This past Christmas, Lou journeyed to California to celebrate the holiday with his whole family and its newest member, his great-grandson, Enzo. He is survived by his sons Timothy (Maureen), Randy (Doretta) and Jeff. His grandchildren, Elena (Victor), Julian, Gabriel, Connor, Avery and Evan and great-grandson Enzo Antonia's Escamilla. Barbara, known to family as big red', had a contagious laugh and lived life with a smile that would light up any room. Barbara demonstrated a love that knew no bounds by giving herself fully in the care of her husband Richard, during the last dif?cult years of his life. She learned and did so much to help him through those challenging times. It was a monumental testament to the love they shared; a strong bond that never faltered. RHODES TERRY C. Age 80, of Upper St. Clair passed away on February 12, 2019. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 22, 1938 to Armond (Ned) and Virginia H. (nee Creig) Irwin.Terry graduated from Westerville High School, Ohio in 1956 before enlisting in the U.S. Navy on August 23, 1956. Upon his honorable discharge in 1958 he ventured to California before ?nding work as an engineer within the steel industry. He spent 30 years at Crucible Compaction Metals in Oakdale, PA before retiring in 2008. Terry was one of the world's leading experts in the operation of Crucible's atomizer and was the lead inventor for multiple patents. In retirement he enjoyed playing golf and working at the USC tennis hut. In December, 1983, Terry married the love of his life, Valerie (Valentino) Thelk, and they enjoyed over 35 years of happiness together. Terry was instrumental in helping to raise Valerie's three children. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his stepfather, John R. Rhodes Jr. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Susanne Philips of Bladensburg, Ohio and Lucinda Austermiller also of Bladensburg; brother John Rhodes of Grove City, Ohio; stepson Richard (Mary Beth) Thelk of Pittsburgh, stepson Michael (Amy) Thelk of Virginia and stepdaughter Stephanie (Ken) Graham along with nine step grandchildren.
