VAMOS ANDREW G. Age 84, of Duquesne, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Born April 7, 1934, in West Mif?in, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Helen (Medar) Vamos. Mr. Vamos was a faithful member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne and a retired employee of Rennekamp Builders Supply Company and George M. Hall Lumber Company. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Lesko) Vamos, he is survived by his loving daughter, Barbara Elaine McDonnell (Dedris Davis) of McKeesport, two grandchildren, Cassandra and Krystian McDonnell, a great granddaughter, Arya Bisgoni, two brothers, Edward Vamos of Munhall and Raymond Vamos of Eighty-Four, and a sister, Elaine Tiboni of Export. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Vamos. Friends and family will be received in the WILLIAM S. BUTRYM PATRICIA A long time resident of Pleasant Hills, died Monday, February 11, 2019. Born in 1932, Pat began by receiving her nursing education at McKeesport Hospital, and continued her education ultimately receiving her PHD in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in the late 1980's. She worked for Children's Hospital as an ICU pediatric nurse until her retirement. Pat loved being a member of St. Elizabeth Church, and was a weekly attendee at Bible Study and their Adult Education classes. She also made frequent donations and was generous to the local community. She loved being with her family, sewing, and her crochet and needlework was adored by all who knew her. The brightness of her smile will be missed most of all. She is survived by her children, Cathy (Butrym) Coughlin of Fort Wayne Indiana, Scott Butrym of Pleasant Hills, and Sandy (Butrym) Boyer of Canonsburg. Also survived by her grandchildren who brought her great joy in her later years, Kelly, Tracy and Kerry Coughlin of Fort Wayne, and Scott's daughter, Laurel. Guests will be received at the JOHN F. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Alice (Newman) Murphy; along with their three children, Laura Goetz, Susan Bosovich and her husband, Daniel, and John B. Murphy, III, and his wife, Gabriela; and eight grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his brother, Robert S. Murphy, and his wife, Mary Kay (Catlin) Murphy, currently of Glen Allen, VA. Jack was a US Army veteran, 1955 Engineering graduate of Virginia Tech and strong supporter of his HOKIES. He spent most of his career with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Staunton, VA, Gettysburg and Pittsburgh PA and Grand Rapids, MI. Jack and Alice retired to Wintergreen in Nelson County VA, where he was active in the community and his church. Margie is survived by her children, John P., Marjorie "Sis" Wachter (George), Janis Gallagher (Irvin) of Green, OH, and Linda Rupert (Ken), of Austintown, OH; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Margie was a life-long resident of O'Hara Twp. (Montrose Hill), living most of her life in the house built by her Father in 1929. Her parents were founding members of St. Edward Church, Blawnox. This began a life time of being a Catholic. An avid devotee of the Blessed Mother through the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal. Margie volunteered in numerous projects on behalf of St. Ed's throughout the years. Known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for a bottomless, ever present, candy dish of M&M's and delicious butternut pound cake. Margie was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Co. (East Liberty). Her greatest joy was the family gathered in her dining room, enjoying her home cooking, laughing and sharing time together. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff of Humility House, Austintown, for the loving, outstanding care given to Margie and family. BEITER THEOBALD JOHN "THEO" Age 87, of Reserve Township, passed away to be in the Lord's presence on Friday, February 15, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 11, 1932, he was a son of the late William and Jennie (Kunicky) Beiter. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Santina Honey (Sue Barilla) Beiter; three children, William (Antonia) Beiter of Monroeville, Barbara (John) Szewczuk of Carolina Beach, NC, and Bonnie Joy (Pete) Payne of Ross Township; seven grandchildren, Jonny Szewczuk, Sarah Payne, Santina Walk, Joseph Beiter, Jordan Walk, Tristan Payne, and Tanya Kukic-Beiter; four great-grandchildren; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Pittsburgher his entire life, Theo attended North Catholic High School, after which he served our country honorably as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired after working at St. Joe Paper Company for 44 years. Even retirement could not deter his impeccable work ethic, as he loved meeting new people at his various side-jobs, each of which he considered a hobby and not a job. Pa loved spending time with his family and never missed a concert, sporting event, or recital for any of his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. His presence was felt in any room he was in, with a dynamic, larger-than-life personality that had an impact on everyone that he met, whether that be at a coffee shop, the ice-ball stand on the North Side, or at his house visiting with his family. He will be tremendously missed by his family and friends, but the impact that he had on each and every one of them will live on forever.
