BRINKLEY EUGENE P. Of Findlay Township passed away on February 3, 2019, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of the late Danice (Stayduhar) Brinkley; son of the late Michael and Annie (Gregorich) Brinkley; loving father of Ursula Brinkley of Virginia and Rochelle Brinkley (Will) Evans of Georgia; and the brother of Lorraine Soloman. Eugene was born in McKees Rocks in 1934. He was a member of St. Columbkille Church, Imperial, PA, as well as a member of the Moon Run Fireman's Club. He served in the United States Navy and was employed as an airline mechanic with Eastern Airlines and then with USAir for over 32 years. After his retirement, Eugene drove a school bus for the West Allegheny School District and enjoyed spending time traveling with his cousin Freddie Gregorich. Eugene and his wife Danice were avid WVU fans and they spent many weekends going to football games and cheering on the Mountaineers. They donated to many charities, one being the Front Range Equine Rescue, and they also fostered many cats throughout the years and were dedicated to the Animal Friends Organization. Family and friends will be welcomed on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 13, 2019, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the SANVITO FUNERAL HOME, 1650 Broadway, Stowe/ Kennedy Township. SCHAVOLT DIANNE E . Age 76, of Imperial passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 11, 2019. Dianne was born October 28, 1942, in Moon Run and grew up on Schorrs Dairy Farm. She was a graduate of Montour High School, class of 1960, where she was a cheerleader. After high school, she worked as a key punch operator for Elijer Corp. Her favorite job was that of wife and mother. She married Dennis Schavolt on January 25, 1964 and recently celebrated their 55thWedding Anniversary. They had three children, Denise (Doug) Schiff, Dennis Schavolt Jr., and Dean (Cindy) Schavolt; grandmother to Matthew (Jena) Schiff, Ashley Schiff, Dillon Schavolt, and Brooke Schavolt; great- grandmother to Maverick and Gage Schiff. Survived by sister, Beverly Shoup; sister-in-law, Sophia Schorr; nephew, Dwain Schorr; nieces, Lorrie (Ed) Slonchka, Nadine (Chris) Gadsby, Cindy (Mark) Usenicnik, Christine (Paul) Trapizona, Teresa (Ronald) Barrett; and many great- nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Conrad and Martha Schorr; brothers, Conrad Schorr and Kenneth Schorr; and niece, Lynn-ann Schorr. Dianne was a hard worker and loved life's simple pleasures. She was an excellent baker, seamstress, crafter, and shopper. She also enjoyed canning and made excellent jelly and applesauce. She enjoyed summer trips to the beach with her young family and long trips to Montana with her husband. She loved supporting her kids and grandkids at their sporting events and competitions. RUPERT CATHERINE L . Age 67, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, a strong warrior battling ovarian cancer since 2012, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Sewickley, PA on March 31, 1951, to the late Norman T. and Erma (McCarriher) Rupert. Beloved sister of Norma Rupert and Donald McCarriher (the late Roberta); cherished aunt to Tracey McCarriher, all of Coraopolis; loving niece of Blanche Rupert of Sewickley; nephews by heart, Adam and Daniel Szabat; also survived by many cousins and friends. A member of the West Highland White Terrier Club of America, Catherine proudly showed and raised “Westies.” Catherine was a member of St. Joseph Church and always supported the festival. For over 43 years, she worked in the foreign exchange department of Mellon Bank/BNY Mellon. She was an avid Steeler's fan and loved doing needlepoint and crafts. PESHKOPIA THEODORE TEFIK Of Penn Twp., age 79, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, while a resident of Harmony Rehabilitation in Monroeville. Beloved husband of Joanne K. (Bayko) Peshkopia for 49 years. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Fetah and Zahide Peshkopia; and his niece, Victoria Mangino (surviving spouse, Joseph of NJ). Dear brother of Sedat (Jeanette) Peshkopia of NJ; special uncle of Dean Peshkopia of NJ, Heidi (Rich) Colangelo, Joshua (Marcia) Bayko, Jennie (Chris) Mento and Dana Bayko. Ted is also survived by numerous grandnephews and grandnieces. Brother-in-law of John and Linda Bayko. Ted was a 1957 graduate of East Pittsburgh High School. He was a member of the EPHS Shamrock basketball team that won the 1956 WPIAL Class B Championship and ?nished the season as the PIAA State runner-up.   Ted was a 1961 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and earned his Masters in Education from Pitt in 1962. While teaching at Plum School district he also did course work at Penn State from where he received his Ph.D in Education in 1974. Ted spent 44 years as an educator in Plum. Nearly 40 years of his career was as an elementary school Principal, mostly with the Holiday Park Elementary School.   Ted also was involved as an active partner in the Penntowne Estates residential development in Penn Township.   Ted was a member of the Norwin Elks and enjoyed his days on the golf course. He also was delighted to travel with Joanne, especially their trips to his parents' homeland of Albania.   Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. BORMAN MARY KATHERINE (DORNECKER/VOLTZ) Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mary Katherine Borman, 88, of Freedom, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019 at The Arbors-St. Barnabas in Valencia, PA. Born April 27, 1930 in Bellevue, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Dornecker. Mary was a proud mom, homemaker, and working professional . In addition to raising her family, she worked in the banking industry for over 30 years where she enjoyed meeting and talking with members of the community. She retired from Union National Bank as Assistant Manager in 1994. After her retirement she became very involved in social groups and volunteer work through her church; St. Ferdinand's Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, PA. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, spending time with her husband, socializing with family and friends, and every precious moment visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Vincent Borman; two sisters, Dolores Smith (Don) and Phoebe Dixon; seven children, Charles E. Voltz (Paula), David Voltz (Kim), Jon Voltz (Joyce), Nancy Lessig (Sherwood), Robert Voltz (Erma), Russ Borman and Kathy Mcdougall (Donald); seventeen grandchildre n; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. KOSTELLA JOANNE Age 79, formerly of Homestead. Passed suddenly on Friday, February 8, 2019. Preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Josephine Shiner, nephew Richard Shiner and sister- in-law Sandy Shiner. Survived by her loving brother Stephen Shiner Jr., beloved niece Sherri Titmus and great-nephew Dylan Titmus. Joanne is also survived by many cousins.
