SAUL ROBERT R. Age 85, born in Turtle Creek, PA, on February 17, 1931, passed away in Sarasota Memorial Hospital on April 22, 2016, after a brief illness. He was a devoted husband, loving father and adored grandfather. The world won't be the same. Known as Bob to friends and Po to family, he lived in North Versailles, PA, Harrison City, PA, Cornelius, NC and Sarasota, FL. He spent his career with and had retired from Westinghouse Airbrake Company. Bob is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Lauretta Covert Saul; his daughter, Laura Sollenberger (Mark English) of Ellenton, FL; daughter, Elizabeth Campbell (Tim) of Cornelius, NC; son, Robert A. Saul (Cathy) of Harrison City, PA. He is also survived by sister, Ruth Myers of Crescent, PA; and brother, John Saul of Oregon. In addition, he leaves behind five grandchildren who adored their Po, Lauren (Josh), Josh (Ashley), Sam, Kasey and Alexander; as well as three great-granddaughters, Hailey, Kylie and Celia; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard R. Saul and Helen Ament Saul; as well as sister, Virginia Saul Chabak; and brother, Richard H. Saul. Funeral arrangements have been handled by BROWN AND SONS, of Bradenton, FL with a memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which was a cause near and dear to his heart. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
