STEPEK MARY ANN (KAELIN) Age 96, of Plum Boro, peacefully, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at St. Margaret's Hospital. Mary was one of three daughters and two sons born to the late Ferdinand and Eliza Kaelin of Plum Borough; she was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School, class of 1937. She then worked at Westinghouse Electric where she met her husband, the late Stephen R. Stepek. They married and had three children, Lorelei DiPalma of Penn Hills, Jeffrey (the late Suzanne) Stepek of Sarasota, FL, and Dr. Rebecca (David) Miles of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by grandson, Allen (Jennifer) DiPalma; and five great-grandchildren. Mary retired from a long career as secretary to the principals of Plum Senior High School. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Educational Association. In retirement, she became a regular and valued volunteer with the Plum Boro Meals on Wheels program. Mary was also active in the political community, regularly working as a clerk at the voting polls. Friends received, Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD. / ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Plum Boro, where Mary was a lifetime member and its Catholic Daughters of America organization. HOPKINS MARY Mary Hopkins, 95, was born in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1920. She entered Heaven's gates on May 7, 2016. A consummate mother, homemaker and had an unwavering faith in God, Mary was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved to watch food and cooking channels. She was also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and enjoyed watching Survivor with her grandson, Sean Hopkins. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, John N. Hopkins. She was also predeceased by her mother and father, Philomena and Frank Schiralli; her three brothers, Lawrence Schiralli, Phillip Schiralli and John Schiralli. Mary is survived by her five children, Jacqueline Colbert, Frank Hopkins, Phyllis Salvatore, Beatrice Hopkins, John Hopkins and her niece, Doreen Roos, an adopted daughter. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Sean Hopkins, Shannon Hopkins, Michael Gregor, Kelly Colbert and John Hopkins Huett. Mary is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Will Bowers, Journey Bowers, Portland Bowers, Sienna Hopkins Wood, Taylor Hopkins, Smith Hopkins Bourland, Jonathan Gregor and Joseph Gregor. The family will receive friends Saturday at ANTHONY M. MUSMANNO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 700 Woodward Ave., McKees Rocks, PA 15136 from 2-6:30 p.m. at which time a blessing service will be held. SAUL ROBERT R. Age 85, born in Turtle Creek, PA, on February 17, 1931, passed away in Sarasota Memorial Hospital on April 22, 2016, after a brief illness. He was a devoted husband, loving father and adored grandfather. The world won't be the same. Known as Bob to friends and Po to family, he lived in North Versailles, PA, Harrison City, PA, Cornelius, NC and Sarasota, FL. He spent his career with and had retired from Westinghouse Airbrake Company. Bob is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Lauretta Covert Saul; his daughter, Laura Sollenberger (Mark English) of Ellenton, FL; daughter, Elizabeth Campbell (Tim) of Cornelius, NC; son, Robert A. Saul (Cathy) of Harrison City, PA. He is also survived by sister, Ruth Myers of Crescent, PA; and brother, John Saul of Oregon. In addition, he leaves behind five grandchildren who adored their Po, Lauren (Josh), Josh (Ashley), Sam, Kasey and Alexander; as well as three great-granddaughters, Hailey, Kylie and Celia; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Richard R. Saul and Helen Ament Saul; as well as sister, Virginia Saul Chabak; and brother, Richard H. Saul. Funeral arrangements have been handled by BROWN AND SONS, of Bradenton, FL with a memorial service to be held at a later date. HAYDEN FRANCES (PSOMAS) (MAKRAY) Age 94, lifelong resident of the Mt. Nebo area of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Steve and Jennie Psomas of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Frances (Clete) Gilson; cherished grandson, Zachary Makray; brother, Charles (Tutti) Psomas; and her special namesake niece and family, Frances (Marty) Avery, Amber (Mark) Hauger; and great-grandnephew, Bryce Hauger. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence J. Makray III; husbands, Lawrence J. Makray, Jr. and Eli Hayden; and siblings, Harry, Alex, Georgia and Cleo. Frances is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a large extended family and many friends. The family would like to especially thank the staff and caregivers of Villa St. Joseph in Baden, Pennsylvania for their care, compassion and friendship to Frances. HABEGGER IREEN “PENNY” TOWICK At age 93, formerly of Glenshaw and Etna, on Friday, April 29, 2016, Mrs. Habegger passed away with her family by her side. Mrs. Habegger was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Habegger, Jr.; cherished mother of Elane McNabb (Joseph Hashim) of Pittsfield, MA and Karen Sisco (David Mounts) of Glenshaw; daughter of the late Charles and Veronica Novotny Towick; sister of the late Helen Wachter and Veronica Reight; grandmother of David McNabb, Galen Sisco, and Audra Sisco-DeLallo (Anthony); great-grandmother of Devin McNabb, Braden McNabb, Cooper Sisco, Avery Sisco, Dominic and Nico DeLallo; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Habegger was a secretary for Architect Vincent Mannella, a full-time mother, and before her retirement, a cook for Eat'n Park in Glenshaw. The family would like to acknowledge the most wonderful and compassionate care from the third floor staff at ManorCare in Bethel Park. Services and interment will be private at a later date.
