She loved camping in Somerset, PA, shopping at flea markets and volunteering with the South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Sedona, Arizona, where she had wished to retire. Patricia is survived by her husband of 25 years, Glenn R. Shannon; a brother, Michael Radinovic and his wife, Denise; daughter, Nicole Acker; and granddaughter, Abby Acker. FITTING GEORGE M., Jr., M. D. Of Mt. Lebanon, on Friday, March 4, 2016. Born May 26, 1933, in Passaic, NJ, George attended the Pennsylvania State University on a Naval ROTC scholarship graduating with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1955. While at Penn State, he met and married his college sweetheart, Katherine O'Toole on graduation day. George served as a Naval Gunfire Liaison Officer and was honorably discharged from the Naval Reserve with the rank of Lieutenant in 1967. After working as a chemist for Union Carbide, George enrolled in medical school at the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his M.D. in 1964. He then completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. In 1968, he was awarded a research fellowship with the world-renowned cancer facility, MD Anderson, in Houston, TX. Upon returning to Pittsburgh, George continued his practice as a board certified anesthesiologist with Pittsburgh Anesthesia Associates, Ltd. He was an avid conservationist, historian and enjoyed world travel. Beloved husband for 60 years of Katherine of Mt. Lebanon; devoted father of Karen McMullen and husband Douglas of Houston, TX and Margaret Nadkarni, her husband, Guru of Millburn, NJ; proud grandfather of Annie and Dev Nadkarni; also survived by many cousins and friends in New Jersey, Florida and Pennsylvania.
