LANDEFELD KATHERINE “KAY” Age 97, of Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of Massillon, Ohio, passed away December 27, 2014. She had been the beloved wife of Ed for 52 years; and mother of Craig of Detroit, MI, Bruce (Annelle) of Williamsburg, VA, and Robin (Frank) Almendinger of Oakmont. She was preceded in death by Ed; her parents, Craig and Leola Forsythe; and her brothers, William and John Forsythe. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeff, Adam, Jill, Kate, Laura, and Scott; and four great-grandchildren. Cathy was born on December 5, 1947, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late James and Margaret “Peg” (Weidow) Beech. Cathy was retired from WABCO in Wilmerding and ServiceMaster in Pitcairn. She was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford. Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Patrick J. “Pat” O'Reilly; her loving children, Colleen McNay (Scott) of Belleair, FL and Patrick L. O'Reilly (Lisa) of Penn Twp.; her precious grandchildren, Ashley McNay, Irelyn O'Reilly, Brooke McNay and Kelton O'Reilly; her caring sister, Peggy Moore (Lamont) of Trafford; and her special nieces and nephews. CANDELORE NORMAN ROBERT, Sr. Age 82, of Elizabeth Twp., died Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was born December 12, 1932, in Industry and was the son of the late Venturino "Benny" and Loretta Monica Candelore. He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth Twp. Norman was a graduate of Indiana University and received his Master's from the University of Pittsburgh. Known as Mr. C, he began his career as a School Teacher at the former Junior High School in Elizabeth. He joined Westinghouse Bettis as a Advisory Scientist in 1958 and retired after 36 years of service. Norman had many interests. He founded the Elizabeth Athletic Association and managed Little League and Pony League baseball during the 60s and 70s. He was part owner of Recap Record Co., with his brother, Tony. Together they recorded six records with the group, Nobleman 4. He went into business with his wife and son and opened Reflection III clothing stores and Custom Computer Services which later changed to Dot Software, Inc. In 1982, he developed customized fundraising software for Bill Sarris, owner of Sarris Candies that is still used today, 33 years later. He worked for Sarris up until his death. He was a loving husband and father. Even though he had one son, he was Dad to so many others. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Gelotti Candelore; son, Norman R. Candelore, Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Norm III, Kelsi, Nicolas and Michael; brother, Dom Candelore, of Bunola; sister, Lena Renckly, of Elizabeth Twp.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jesse, Lou, Guido and Tony Candelore; and sisters, Edna Mink, Mary Kerston Soriano and Julia Bruni. DALLY JANET (McMASTER) Formerly of Sewickley, Ben Avon, and Osborne, age 94, died peacefully at Sherwood Oaks on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was born in Sewickley on September 1, 1920, to the late George C. and Elisabeth (Lambie) McMaster. Janet was a 1938 graduate of Sewickley High School and had obtained her bachelor's from Wilson College. She married her beloved husband, Charles A. Dally III, on March 12, 1949, and he passed on March 4, 2006. Loving mother of Elisabeth Dally (Jim Houser), Mary Susan Dally, Charles A. Dally IV (deceased), and Kate Dally Shriver (Scott); grandmother of Steven, Helen, Sadie, and Violet. BANAI EMERENCIA EMELIA “EMMA” (TOKE) Of Troy Hill on Friday, January 16, 2015. Wife of Steven Banai, Sr.; mother of Stephen Banai, Jr., Alexander Joseph Banai, Sr. and Emerencia Judy Torma; mother-in-law of Michael Torma; also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Gyorgy and Borbála (Pálfy) Toke; sister of the late Peter, József and Ferenc; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins residing in Hungary. She escaped Communist Hungary after the fallout of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution with her husband and two sons age six and three at that time and came to Pittsburgh after arriving in the United States. She retired from B&J Catering in Greentree as head chef after 32 years of employment. Of all the catered events she prepared, she was extremely honored to prepare a catered event for past President George H.W. Bush on one of his many campaign fundraisers. She was a continuous inspiration to her family that life in America was a privilege not to take lightly. She brought a smile to all who encountered her presence. Her passion in life was her children and family in Hungary. She was dedicated and worked tirelessly to provide love, support and a happy home life. Most of all, she poured her heart and sole into cooking, whether for her family, workplace or friends. She did so with a smile and love that will be deeply missed. Family to receive friends 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1501 Lowrie St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 - Troy Hill.
