HUCKLE DONALD “BOB” ROBERT Passed away on November 20, 2014, in Doylestown, PA, at the age of 68. He leaves behind his wife, Rita Huckle (Roper); his daughters, Tonya Mayro and Jayme Weideman; his sons, John Huckle and Jared Huckle; seven grandchildren, Zach Mayro, Molly Mayro, Nina Mayro, Owen Mayro, Eva Huckle, Lucijan Huckle, and Oliver Weideman; many loving nieces and nephews; countless colleagues and friends; and his dog, Daisy. Don was born on February 22, 1946, in Buffalo, NY, to father, Donald Huckle and mother, Marjorie Huckle, both of whom predeceased him. He grew up in a large, loving family with one sister and three brothers, Marcia, Bruce, Brian, and James. As a man passionate about sharing his love of music with others, Don graduated from Union College in Barbourville, KY with a degree in music and took a teaching position in Doylestown, PA at Unami Junior High School and then at Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh, PA. Don was a passionate music educator known by his peers for putting on breath-taking marching band shows and known by his students as someone who was dedicated to their musical and personal development. Don's other passions included volunteering in the community, specifically with Large Fire Department, working with model trains to delight his grandchildren, and gardening. The consummate positive thinker, when diagnosed with cancer, he remained dedicated in his work as a husband, father, and grandfather. Even in his final days, when asked how he was, Don would, without hesitation, respond with “terrific”. The family would especially like to thank his Baldwin High School family and Primerica family for the years of friendship, support, and fond memories; and the staff of Lakeview for their constant, attentive treatment. BELL WILLIAM N. “BILL” Age 84, of Kiski Township, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in LifeCare Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born November 9, 1930, in Indiana, he was the son of the late John S. and Katherine (North) Bell. Bill lived in Kiski Township since 1956, and was a 1948 graduate of Vandergrift High School. He served our country as a captain with the United States Army. Bill was the owner of Bill Bell Alignment Service, Inc., a business he started on Washington Ave. in Vandergrift in 1962, before moving to its present location in the Paulton section of Washington Township in 1976. Bill was a member of the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #437 in Apollo, the Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh, and past potentate and past president of the MASA. Bill was a clown for the Shrine “Ding Dong Bell” and on the Board of Directors at the Shriner's Hospital in Philadelphia for many years. He was a member of the Hillbillies Clan #53. We must all remember Gertrude the most lovable ass. Bill was involved in the girl's Rainbow Drill Team and the American Legion in Vandergrift for 56 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose M. (Collins) Bell of Kiski Township; sons, John A. Bell II of Kiski Township, William N. Bell, Jr. of Davenport, FL, and Michael H. (Christine) Bell of Manning, SC; daughter, Sara Jane (Kevin) Hice of Kiski Township; eight grandchildren; and a great- grandson. DEMMLER SALLY A. Age 77, of Jamestown, South Shenango Twp., passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014, at her residence. She was born in Greenville on April 18, 1937, to Howard R. and Margaret L. (Blue) Axtell. She was a graduate of the former Penn High School, Greenville, was a 1972 graduate from Edinboro State College and received her master's degree in deaf education from Western Maryland College. She worked as a teacher for the hearing impaired for 30 years at the Intermediate Unit #5 in Edinboro. After retirement, Sally and her husband, John, had been the owner/ operators of Jacob's Gable Inn in Jamestown since 2005. She was one of the founding members of the Jamestown Historical Society, was a member of the spinning and weaver's guild of Crawford County, and a former 4-H leader of the friendship Grange of Mercer County. She was an avid seamstress, she had made clothing for her children, and had created wedding dresses for her daughters, and had sewn angel gowns for infant deaths at UPMC Horizon Greenville. She truly enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, reading, and knitting. Sally was a very selfless and an influential woman to all that knew her. On May 15, 1953, she married John Demmler, he survives at home. Surviving are three daughters, Michelle DePree and her husband, Todd, of Jamestown, Marcella Demmler and her companion, Nick Ceremuga, of Jamestown, Melissa Shannon and her husband, Tom, of Jamestown; five sons, John Demmler and his wife, Becky, of Hartstown, Bradley Demmler of Texas, Karl Demmler and his companion, Mary Burnett, of Hartstown, Douglas Demmler and his wife, Laura, of Jamestown, Mark Demmler and his partner, Lawrence Fisher, of Pittsburgh; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Shari Axtell Palacio of Virginia; a brother, Howard Axtell of Grove City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Raymond Axtell; and a sister, Ellen Watt. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, in St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown, with Rev. V. BUSH ROGER A. Age 68, of Kiski Township, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, at West Haven Manor, Washington Township. Born October 13, 1946, in Apollo, he was the son of Lois (Wigle) Bush of Kiski Township and the late Glenn R. Bush, Sr. Roger lived in Apollo most of his life. He was a 1964 graduate of Apollo High School and a 1968 graduate of Waynesburg College, where he was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Roger had been the president and owner of Glenn Bush Ford in Apollo since 1985. He was a past chairman and vice chairman of the Pittsburgh Ford Dealer Advertising Fund. He also served on the Board of Directors at the Apollo Trust Company for 16 years, three years of which he served as board chairman. Roger was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Apollo and a member of the Apollo BPOE #386. He also proudly donated storage and distribution space at his Ford Dealership to the Apollo Ridge Area Food Bank. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Glenn R. Bush, Sr.; his son, Michael Allen Victor Bush; and his brother, Glenn Bush, Jr. In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia (Haydu) Bush of Kiski Township; son, Kenneth (Christa) Bush of Bell Township; daughter, Jessica (Anthony) Aslanian of Orlando, FL; and grandchildren, A. Michael Aslanian, Julie Bush, Catherine Aslanian, and Lindsay Bush.
