PUSHCAR RICHARD Age 73, of Export, originally from Munhall, passed away on September 30, 2014. Born August 4, 1941, Richard was the son of the late Michael Pushcar and Pauline (Martin) Pushcar. Survived by his beloved children, Colette Pushcar of Brisbane, Australia and Brent Pushcar of Monroeville, PA; he also leaves behind his loving sister, Rita (Pushcar) Slava. Richard will also be missed by his wonderful extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard graduated from Munhall High School in 1959 and attended Penn State University's McKeesport campus. He served in the U.S. Army for six years with an honorable discharge in 1968. He worked for the U.S. Post Office and later became a foreman at the U.S. Steel Homestead Works. During that time, he joined the PA Air National Guard and served his country for a total of 20 years. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor, a love for all sports, and a good heart. He will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cathedral, Munhall. Alfred retired as a clerk from U.S. Steel after many years of service. He was known for his skills in basketball and football when he played at Homestead High school in the '40s. COLEMAN DONALD JOSEPH, M.D. Age 87, a Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst in Pittsburgh, passed away on October 8, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Born in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Coleman attended Rockhurst College, The University of Kansas and St. Louis University School of Medicine. In his last year of medical school, friends set him up on a blind date with Catherine (Cathy) Baine of St. Louis, with whom he ended up sharing 59 wonderful years of marriage. Don and Cathy, who later became an attorney in Pittsburgh, had two children, Mary Kate and Sean, both of Pittsburgh. Upon graduating from medical school, Don served as a Captain in the U.S. Army at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. He and Cathy came to Pittsburgh in 1959 to complete Don's medical residency in Psychiatry at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. He served on the staff of the Institute and on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School through the early 70s, when he entered private practice. Teaching was always an important part of his life, and he treasured the Golden Apple award for Excellence in Teaching, awarded by the Pitt medical students in 1969, as well as his many years later in life serving as a Training Analyst at The Pittsburgh Psychoanalytic Center. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Mabel of Kansas City; and by his brother, Robert of Louisville, KY. His family would like to thank his physician, Dr. Balikrishna Ragoor, as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Manorcare (Monroeville), Forbes Hospital and LifeCare Hospital (Monroeville) for taking such good care of Don in the last years of his life. BARCHESKI MICHAEL F., Sr. Age 73, of Moon Township, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away after an extended illness on October 9, 2014, at Caring Heights. He was born in Pittsburgh on April 6, 1941, to the late Michael and Mary (Sobeck) Barcheski; beloved husband for 52 years to Sophie (Yanis) Barcheski; loving father of Mary Ann Gilmore and husband, Jeff of Moon Township and the late Michael Barcheski, Jr. (March 19, 1986); proud and cherished grandfather of Johnathan and Michael Gilmore; loving brother of Dennis Barcheski and wife, Maureen of Toledo, OH. Mike was an usher and member of St. Margaret Mary Church and was retired plant manager of LTV Steel, Aliquippa Works. He was a proud graduate of Purdue University where he played football, also a graduate of Stowe High School where he was an avid sports fan. He was a dedicated Moon volunteer coach for youth baseball and football programs, coaching his son and grandsons. His quote to his family “Be Strong” exemplified his courage and stamina throughout his life. Mike never gave up! KUHS CAROLE Age 76, of Dravosburg, died October 8, 2014, at home. Born October 20, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Michael Kral and Dorothy (Kretchman) Dulaney; and wife of the late Walter Leo Kuhs. Carole worked for Freddy's Restaurant in Dravosburg and at Kaufmann's for over 15 years. She was a member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church, belonged to the crochet group, Love Stitches, was a member of Tops PA 67, and also volunteered at Kane in Hazelwood. Carole is survived by her daughters, Dottie (Jim) Ciongoli and Holly (David DiPetro) Kuhs; sister, Mary Lynn (Dulaney) Brown; and brother, Michael Kral; she is also survived by nieces, nephews, two extra special great-nephews, Noah and Brody; and step-grandchildren, Cody and Shanna. She was also preceded in death by her father, Wilbur “Bill” Dulaney; mother, Elizabeth Kral; and sister, Mary Kral.
