GEORGE MGM
3/15/61 ~ 10/8/04
It's been ten years since you were taken from us, however it seems like only yesterday. Wish you were here so we could talk about so many things, especially your grandson playing football and how your daughters have grown up. I know you are watching them up in Heaven; you should be very proud. We love and miss you very much.
Sadly missed by Mom, Dad and family

EWALD DANIEL ALBERT ON OCTOBER...

EWALD DANIEL ALBERT On October 6, 2014, after complications of a cerebral hemorrhage, at the age of 64, Daniel Albert Ewald walked through the gates of Heaven, a place that over the years he so faithfully prayed and preached to others about. It was the joy of his life to serve the lord. He has labored in the Bible Missionary Church as pastor, evangelist, and leader for over 45 years. In 1985, he became the District Leader of the Northeast states. He traveled to many foreign countries proclaiming the love of Jesus, where he loved the people and they loved him in return. In 2010 he had a heart and kidney transplant and never experienced any form of rejection. He was never one to let a situation get the best of him, but he made the best of every circumstance. After his transplant, he lived every day thanking God for another chance to tell others of Jesus. He never let an opportunity pass that he didn't tell someone he would be praying for them. His humor and his famous mischievous grin will be missed by the nurses, staff, and doctors on the fifth floor in the Allegheny General Hospital, where he spent much of the eight months before his transplant. On August 6, 1950, he was the first born son of Albert and Shirley Ewald. On October 6, 2014, he was welcomed on the shores of Heaven by his father, brother, grandparents, niece, nephew, and many others, but most of all by Jesus. Preparing for that grand reunion again is the love of his life and best friend, Jorene Ewald, whom he was married to for 45 years; also are his children and their spouses, Danette (Ewald) and Michel Hallam of Hookstown, PA, Daniel and Derita Ewald of Onego, WV, and Chad and Teri Ewald of Bedford, PA; his grandchildren, who made him young at heart, Katie and Cody Acord, Daniel III and Tabitha, Michael, Kayla, Travis, Heidi, Brittney, Emily, and MaKayla; his mother, Shirley Ewald of Traverse City, MI; and his siblings and their families, Tim and Sharon Ewald of Howell, MI, Ruth (Ewald) and Dan Hallett of Traverse City, MI, and Mark and Shirley Ewald of Shade Gap, PA. Daniel is on Heaven's shore encouraging us to stay faithful and make Heaven our eternal home. Friends will be received from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Bible Missionary Church, James Creek, where a Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. William Whited and Rev. Rick Yancy. Interment will follow in Entriken Cemetery. Arrangements are by the TODD T. THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., Roaring Spring. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
