DEMOR FRANK J. Age 87, of Hampton, passed away at his home, peacefully surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (37 years) and Margaret Jean (17 years); loving father of Frank J., Jr., Kathleen, Darlene (Richard) Prendergast, Mary Catherine (James) Belmondo, Russell (K.C.), Lisa (Rex) Ours, Amy Lynn and Beth Ann; brother of Margaret Renner and the late Barbara Micklos and Helen Milkey; grandfather of William (Courtney), Mary Elizabeth and Laura Mae (Ryan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. From humble beginnings on the North Side of Pittsburgh, where his Croatian immigrant mother supported the family by working in various factories and scrubbing movie house floors in Depression era Pittsburgh. Frank, through his determination, intelligence and hard work, founded Demor's Lincoln-Mercury and always made a comfortable living for his family. He was a prominent businessman in the city of Pittsburgh for many years and will be missed by all that came to know him. HRABOVSKY JAMES THOMAS, Jr. Age 48, recently of Edgeworth, died tragically on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Beloved son of Katherine Unger Hrabovsky and the late James Thomas Hrabovsky, Sr.; beloved brother of Kathy Hrabovsky (Michael Oppenheimer) and Sharon Hrabovsky (Robert Serafin); loving father of Kyle, Annie and Mia; beloved uncle of Lily and Andy Oppenheimer; and beloved uncle of Bobby and Katie Serafin. Jim graduated from Chartiers Valley High School in 1983, where he was captain of the baseball team, and graduated from Kent State University in 1987, where he also played baseball and obtained a degree in marketing and sales. Jim went on to work in insurance and sales, most recently at National Oilwell Varco, where he was passionate about his work and excited about the opportunities. Although he loved his work, Jim's greatest devotion was to his faith and his family. Jim built a wonderful life for his children and supported them in their interests, including swimming, gymnastics and therapeutic horseback riding. PALMER LEONARD PASSED AWAY, A...

PALMER LEONARD Passed away, at age 86, on September 28, 2014. He was born on January 6, 1928, in Munhall, PA to Leonard Alexander Palmer and Dora Howden Palmer. He grew up there, graduating from Munhall High School in June of 1945. In August of 1945, he enlisted in the Marines and spent a year in post World War II Asia, serving in the China Theater. When he returned from overseas, he attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1950 with a degree in Political Science. For the next 36 years, he worked for US Steel, rising from the mills to become the supervisor and coordinator of the Eastern Steel Division. Leonard was married for 41 years to Helen Ann Palmer. His stepson, Joe Ripper and Joe's wife, Sharon Ripper; his stepdaughter, Doreen Ripper; and his grandchildren, Brian Ripper and Kira Ripper, survive him. In addition, he leaves behind his brother-in-law, Ken Benner; and his nieces, Kathleen Duble, Lauren Romain and Mara Benner; and a nephew, Bill Martin. Leonard loved to go to the races and was an avid Steelers fan. At his last residence, St. Barnabas Retirement Village, where he had many friends, he loved playing cards and bocce. At age 85, he fulfilled one of his bucket list items and went skydiving. He was a man who was always there for those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
