She was the wife of the late James Flanagan and is survived by her children, Connie (Les Gallay), Kathy, Michael, Marietta (Billy Rogacki), Anita (Jeff Potter), James (Paulette Lucian), Noreen (Jonathan Hall) and Trish (Tim Rempe); 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Maushardt Flanagan and her granddaughter, Laura Flanagan. Services will be private for the family. JEAN M. (SPURRIER) DUDRA 1933-2020 Of Kilbuck Twp., passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 30, 2020. Jean lived a full life marked by grace and dignity and was known to all as a gentle and private soul. Jean possessed an extraordinary sense of fashion and décor for which she found an outlet in retail. She began her career at Boggs and Buhl and after raising a family, she returned to work as a 25 year Gold Star Employee with Hornes/Macys downtown Department Stores. Her quiet ways and unique sense of humor endeared her to all. Jean was the daughter of George and Sabina Spurrier of Pittsburgh and the identical twin sister of June Melodia formerly of Sewickley. Jean married Rudolph Dudra October 17, 1953. Together, through the years, they raised a family, enjoyed small trips, dancing, playing cards, picnics and holiday gatherings. Jean was deeply loved and honored by her family, Wendy (Darryl) Pingor, Lisa (Doug) Emmett, Dana (Bill) Biel, Laurie (Tom) Downing and Michael Dudra. A proud grandma of nine, Matt, Lindsay (Joel) Kara, Jason, Kyle (Erin) Caitlyn, Hannah, Jacob and Joshua; and a great-grandmother of Teagan, Landon and Eliza. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and daughter, Wendy. The family would like to thank Wendy Gilbert of Concordia Home Nursing for her support and compassionate care. MARY ELLEN (KENSINGER) PAPA Age 90, of Monroeville, PA passed away on October 31, 2020. Born on July 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Monahan) Kensinger; and the wife of the late Santo Papa. Mary Ellen started her working career as a Registered Nurse, took time off to raise her family, then she made her way back to nursing. She enjoyed spending her time helping out at the Monroeville Senior Center, doing her crossword puzzles, word searches, knitting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Robert) Shearer, Paul (Donna) Papa, Angeline (Joseph) Compton, John (Diane) Papa, Mary Ellen (Brian) Haney, Ann (Daniel Charney) Papa, James (Kim) Papa, Christine (Donald) Hayes; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. MARY LOUISE CLARK HUNTER "LOU" Mary Louise Clark Hunter "Lou”, age 93, of Gibsonia, passed peacefully at home with family on November 1, 2020. Born in Holyoke, MA on March 22, 1927, daughter of the late Clarence and Frances Martin Clark; beloved wife for 61 years of the late David Wittmer Hunter; loving mother of Peter C. (Marcia) Hunter, Susan E. Hunter, and Crock Hunter; sister of Barbara Bernardin and Helen F. Clark; dear grandmother of Elizabeth (West) Hunter-Keller, Julia (Robert) Fabiano, Charles Hunter, and Stephanie (Jeff) King. Also survived by three great-grandchildren, Cora Loveday, Henry, Theodore. Lou was a graduate of Vassar College and earned a Management Certificate from Radcliffe College, where on a blind date met her husband, David, who was then attending Harvard Business School. She was a longtime horse breeder, raising and training American Quarter Horses. Lou was an avid and partisan Pittsburgh sports fan, deeply knowledgeable about her Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. Lou and Dave enjoyed travel, especially across the United States. She had a green thumb and terrific vegetable garden, loved bird watching, read several newspapers each day, was always abreast of current events and held strong political opinions. Lou supported and was active with North Suburban Fine Arts League, Richland Civic Club, Richland Public Library, Western PA Riding for the Handicapped, and North Allegheny Horsemen's Association, in addition to several more civic and charitable organizations. A celebration of Lou's life will be held later when the current public health environment improves. A special thanks to the wonderful caregivers from WeCare and Good Samaritan Hospice. RICHARD (DICK) SIMON Richard (Dick) Simon passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Richard was born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 27, 1921. Richard was a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years, Nancy (Lichtenstul), until her passing in 2015. Dick is survived by his beloved children, Sharon Dunlap (Donnie) and Kenneth Simon (Linda); and his cherished grandchildren, Chad, Jessica, Wesley and Kevin who were his pride and joy. Richard, a graduate of the University of Michigan in 1943, devoted his life to giving back – he served his country in WW2, his community as a dedicated volunteer leader with several local organizations – most notably Rodef Shalom Congregation and Jewish Healthcare Foundation - and was ' ever loyal to his ZBT'. Dick will be remembered by his family, friends, bridge and poker buddies and Brothers for his kindness, wisdom and wit. The family will be holding a Private Graveside Service. DR. DAVID ROBERT SHENSA With heavy hearts we announce the death of Dr. David Robert Shensa on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Beloved husband and best friend of Patti Greenberger Shensa of Bonita Springs, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh. David was the son of the late Dr. Lewis Samuel Shensa and the late Gladys Henkin Shensa of Youngstown, Ohio and the brother of the late Dr. Stanley Henkin Shensa of Cleveland, Ohio. David was the proud father of Craig Shensa (Ariel Singer Shensa) and the late Jodi Shensa. He was the dear stepfather of Rick Aranson (Nancy Barnett Aranson) and Jill Aranson Snyder (Michael David Snyder). He loved his grandchildren, Ezra Shensa and Samara Shensa and his step-grandchildren Eli, Brett, and Adam Snyder and Lindsey and Danny Aranson. David loved his profession as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, which he had to give up in his late 40's due to health issues. He later enjoyed doing office anesthesia for dental offices and helped set up a program called Dental Education, Inc. to provide continuing education credits for oral surgeons to maintain their dental licenses. David handled his numerous medical problems with grace and humility for many years. He will be missed and loved by his family and friends forever. Graveside Services and Interment are Private. Beloved mother of Andrew (Judy) Funtal of Suwanee, GA, Matthew (Merry Katherine) Funtal of Morehead City, NC, Robert (Flora) Funtal of Finleyville, Timothy (Deborah) Funtal of Beallsville; grandmother of Sarah Funtal, Christian Turner, Hunter, Andrew, and Rachael Funtal, Amber Marody, and Michelle Sharpe; great-grandmother of Bentley, Tristan, Aspen, Kaiden, and Chevy; sister of Catherine (Ronald) Copeland of Beaver Falls. Vec was born in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Frank and Lena (Barton) Vecchiola; beloved husband of Judy (D'Andrea); loving father of Stacey (John) Hartnett and the late John "Jack" Kubancek; special grandfather of Shannon, Kayla, Alaina and Elizabeth; brother of Linda Vecchiola-Alberts; uncle to Joseph Alberts, Anthony "TO" (Kristie) Alberts, Maria (Ryan) Shola, Marcey (Nick) Troyer and the late Frank Alberts; great-uncle to Nickolas, Nadia, Luka, Anthony, Jax and Dominic Family and friends received on Friday from 2 -4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3511 Main St., Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394) where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick Morgan officiating.
