JUSTIN A. ADATEPE Justin A. Adatepe, age 36, of Shaler Twp., unexpectedly, on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Beloved son of Edward Adatepe and Laurie Adatepe; dear brother of Alicia (Bikelby) Garcia; proud uncle of Abigail and Mateo Garcia; loving grandson of Mustafa (the late Melahat) Adatepe and the late Donald and Alice Bernhardt; nephew of Brian (Carrie) Bernhardt, Adam (Gonca) Adatepe, Al Adatepe, and Galip (Emine) Adatepe; especially near and dear to his heart were his cousins, Cem and Melisa Adatepe. Justin was extremely well read and was constantly seeking knowledge. He also loved sharing his knowledge with family and friends. LYNN MARIE (HYLAND) KASPY Lynn Marie (Hyland) Kaspy, 56, passed away in her home on Thursday, September 10, 2020, surrounded by her family and friends. She battled colon cancer for the last several years. She was born in McKeesport on December 18, 1963, a daughter of Roseann (Dumick) Hyland and the late Thomas F. Hyland, Jr. Lynn was employed with Can Corp. of America as an Human Resource Manager. Prior to that, she was employed with AngioTech as an Asst. HR Manager. She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Ephrata. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting and being with her family and friends. In addition to her mother, Lynn is survived by her husband, Leighton "Lee" N. Kaspy, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1994, in Cleveland, OH and shared 26 wonderful years together. Also surviving are two brothers, Thomas F. Hyland, III and his wife, Julie of Havertown and David J. Hyland and his wife, Nancy of Moon Twp.; a niece, Hanna Hyland and two nephews, Blaze and Lennon Hyland and her furry children, Kenzie and Bailey. Lynn was predeceased by her furry daughter, Ellie. A Celebration of Life will be Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, from 6 to 9:00 p.m. in EDWARD J. KUHN FUNERAL HOME, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. MARY CHARLOTTE McCOLLUM Of Monroeville, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. She was born on July 11, 1931, in Pittsburgh, to Charles Sigler and Dorothy (Kivenson) Sigler. She was blessed to be born as one of the chosen people, a descendent of Sarah and Abraham. She was twice blessed to be born again in baptism in the name of Christ her Lord. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harry; by daughter, Dr. M. Patricia Davis (Barry) of Hockley, TX; son, H. Michael Davis (Marie) of Farmington, CT; son, Mark D. Davis (Lynn) of N. Huntingdon, PA; and son, Brian W. McCollum (Barbara) of Poinciana, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason Sonafelt, Ashley Davis-Kulik, Michael J. Davis, Zane McCollum, Nicole Davis, Jessica Davis and Christina Davis; and by her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kennedy and Cole Sonafelt and Quinn Kulik. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bernard Miller. Mary was educated in Pittsburgh and Etna schools. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary was active throughout her life in several Lutheran congregations as a teacher, council member and organist and also had served as an organist at Calvary UCC Church in Turtle Creek. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Monroeville at the time of her passing. She enjoyed trips to New York City, Florida and West Virginia. She served as a judge of elections in Monroeville for 25 years and was an enthusiastic supporter of liberal causes. Mary was kind and loving to friends and neighbors, especially to children. MRS. IRMA CLARE BAIRD Mrs. Irma Clare Baird of Conway, died on September 16, 2020, at home, as a result of complications related to multiple sclerosis. Mrs. Baird is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Wade K. Baird. Mrs. Baird was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1943. Her parents (both predeceased) were Reverend Luther K. Clare and Elsa Seibert Clare. Mrs. Baird attended public schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from McDowell High School (Erie) in 1961. She attended Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania in 1965. She was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority and during her senior year was elected homecoming queen. Following graduation from undergraduate school, Mrs. Baird attended the University of Pittsburgh's Social Work Program and worked several years as a social worker and psychometrist in the Pittsburgh area schools. Mrs. Baird moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1976, when her husband became a faculty member at Coastal Carolina University. She held several positions in the area as an office manager and real estate manager before the onset of her illness. Mrs. Baird is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Allison (Baird) Levison and Timothy J. Levison of Pittsburgh, and a son, Timothy W. Baird of Charleston. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Susan (Clare) Boehm of Denver. Her brother, Paul S. Clare is predeceased. MRS. JUDITH ANN WEISS Age 75, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Monday September 14, 2020, at Pruitt Healthcare and Hospice in Lafayette, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Adamson, 82, of Kennedy Twp., PA; and her mother, Bernice Herbst Adamson, 82, of Kennedy Twp., PA. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Leonard G. Weiss of Rocky Face, GA; brother, Robert A. Adamson (Sharon) and daughter, Hali of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Patricia Winovich (Thomas) of Cranberty Twp., PA, and children, Michael, Franklin and Marianne Winovich. Judith attended Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated Cum Laude in 1971 from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Business Education. She went on to a thirty-five plus year career in Management Accounting and Business in the fields of retail, non-profit and manufacturing. Her professional credits included serving as Assistant Controller for fifteen years at Poly Pac, Inc. in Dalton, GA. While at Poly Pac, she coordinated the United Way campaign for the Company President. The Corporation received The Bronze Award in 1983, 1984 and 1987. The Silver Award in 1985. Professional Associations: Judith was a member of the North Georgia Chapter of the NAA, (National Association of Accountants) now the IMA, (Institute of Management Accountants). She served on the Board of Directors. As Chapter President in 1978, she provided the necessary leadership to guide the Chapter to receive national recognition at the 1979 NAA National Conference. With her husband Leonard, she owned and operated a small business Arts and Crafts Company that manufactured Bavarian Wax Art objects and exhibited and sold these items at better Arts and Craft Shows throughout the Eastern United States for over twenty years. Her work is on display at the website artwaxusa.com She was a forty-eight year parishioner of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 968 Haig Mill Lake Road, Dalton, GA, 30721. PATRICIA M. PROVIDENT Patricia M. Provident, age 77, of West Mifflin, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 13, 2020. Pat was born on May 12, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John Ditillo and Florence Greene. Pat is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Provident; children, Melissa "Missy" (Larry) Hergenroeder and Mark (Marci Palko) Provident; grandchildren, Brittney, Lynsey, Nick, Quinn, Owen, Dylan and Keagan; great-grandchildren, Kanon, Carsyn, Luca, and Lydia; siblings, Marilyn Ditillo, Sue Pisowicz and Rob (Sheryl) Ditillo; brother-in-law, John Provident; sisters-in-law, Janie Busowski, Karen Stromberg and Pat Ditillo. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mindy Provident; brother, Jack Ditillo and brother-in-law, Bill Pisowicz. Pat was the matriarch of her family. She raised her three children while book keeping at her and Frank's grocery store, Ruthfred Market in Bethel Park. Once her children were grown and she had spare time, Pat enjoyed watching golf, collecting elephant figurines and of course, spending time with her grandchildren. Pat will be remembered by all who knew her for her hard work, unconditional love and her delicious pizzelles. AARON CHARLES FAYISH Age 40, of Peters Township, passed away in the loving arms of his family September 15, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Pierina (Noceti) Fayish; adoring daddy of Corinne and Luke; beloved son of Charles (Missy) Fayish and the late Lorraine Fayish. He was the loving brother of Lauren (Charles) Crowley; beloved nephew of Kathleen (Leonard) Volpi, Marsha (Larry) Papini, Deanna (Robert) Buell, Janice Calzacorto, and Alfred (Maria) Calzacorto; friend and step-brother of Adam Palmer; and dear son-in-law of Richard (Christina) Noceti. He is survived by loving cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends. Aaron held a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University and was a dedicated Nittany Lion fan. He held additional certifications in traffic engineering and used his knowledge to start and grow Stahl Sheaffer Engineering, along with his partners and friends. While he enjoyed watching hockey and football, his true happiness lay in the outdoors, where he hunted, fished and could always be found sitting by a campfire in a plaid shirt, jeans, and boots. MADELEINE PERSONS "MAE MAE" Madeleine "Mae Mae" Persons, age 93, of Plum, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020. Loving mother of her son, Dale (Brenda) Persons. Dear step-grandmother of Amanda (Justin) Jefcoat and Emily (Matt) Gnemi; step-great-grandmother of Ann Lamar Jefcoat, Matthew Gnemi and James Hyer Gnemi; sister of Dorothy McLean and the late Virginia Becker and Gladys Greene; daughter of her late Hungarian immigrant parents, Joseph and Mary (Szemethy) Kohane. Also survived by her goddaughter, Barbara Greene and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and her special family member caregivers who are fondly appreciated, Karen and Ray Drosky, Barbara Greene and Joe Balsamico, Judy Greene and Ron Orkis, Robbin, Rob, Jacob and Ella Pedley, Shannon, Joe, Marisa, Joey and Mia Panichella and Erin, Bob, Anna and Josh Lewis. Mae Mae was the matriarch of a loving family that stretches from the hills of western Pennsylvania to the flatlands of the Mississippi Delta. She retired after thirty-six years of service with Bell Telephone, where she started as a split-shift operator, and rose to serve in various management positions with Bell Telephone and AT&T. Following retirement she worked at Oakmont Nursing Home as Activity Coordinator. Her keen sense of humor and love of laughter led her to perform volunteer work as a clown with the Bell Telephone Company Pioneers, joyfully entertaining children and seniors at various charitable events. She was a devout catholic, a member of St. Januarius R. C. Church, served for many years on the Bereavement Committee and belonged to the Women's Guild. She loved everything pink--flowers, clothing and decor--and was known for her beautiful handwriting, even in the later years of her life. She was generous, caring, polite, unselfish and thoughtful and always remembered birthdays, graduations and other special events of family members or friends by sending a greeting card with a personal note. But most important in her life was Mae Mae's love of family, and she thoroughly enjoyed the many gatherings at the Drosky Resort. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at MAURICE L. DONALD J. KILLMEYER, SR. Age 87, of Providence Point, formerly of Ingram, peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Rosemary (Schaefer) Killmeyer. Father of Donald J., Jr., John (Betsy) Killmeyer, and Ruth Ann (James) Garrett. Also survived by four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Brother of the late David Killmeyer. Don was an Army veteran and a former employee of Calgon for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also a member of the Goodwill Hill Club. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Family and friends received Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHEPNER-MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. JOSEPHINE MARY (TARALLO) CARL Age 90, a great mother and grandmother, of Coraopolis, PA passed away on September 15, 2020. Born on July 14, 1930, in Coraopolis, to the late Egilda and Giuseppe Tarallo. On July 14, 2012, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond M. Carl. Devoted mother to Dorothy (Robert) Brown and Richard (Nancy) Carl; loving grandmother to Bobby (Coryn), Andrew, Steven, Kevin, Aaron and Brandon; doting and proud great-grandmother to Leah. In addition to her parents and husband, Josephine was preceded in death by her siblings, Clara Baldassare, Guerrino “Red” Tarallo, Mario Tarallo, Louis Tarallo, Rose Maggi, Martha Burkey, Della Chieski; her niece, Esther Wilhelm, who was like a sister to her. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Josephine was a member of St. Joseph's Church and a Christian Mother, a member of Silver Sneakers and loved “the Walkers and Talkers” to walk and talk to all of her many friends. Later in life, always keeping her mind active, she enjoyed building puzzles and shared them with her family and friends. Josephine also collected clowns. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She always had a positive disposition and great sense of humor even with her declining health. Visitation will be Friday 2-4, 6-8 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Road with prayers on Saturday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church followed by entombment in Coraopolis Cemetery. ETHEL KARAS SLAMKA Passed away at the Willows in Oakmont on September 15, 2020. She was born on July 24, 1937, to the late Nicholas Karas and Elizabeth (McAfee) Karas. Ethel is survived by her only daughter, Elizabeth A. Brauer, David B. Brauer (son-in-law), and her two grandsons, Grant and Christian. She was a long time resident of Aspinwall and a member of Saint Scholastica Church. Private interment will be in Allegheny Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Joseph Slamka.
