ANTHONY ANGELO MORENO Anthony Angelo Moreno left us peacefully on September 13, 2020, at the age of 83. His loyal and devoted wife, Dolly, was by his side, loving and caring for him as she has for the past 53 years. He was surrounded in his passing by the family that has looked to him as their patriarch for so many years. He was the proud and adored Nonno of Alessia, Anthony, and Joey Moreno and Mia, Marco, and Massimo Alandete. He joins his parents, the late Ferdinando and Rose Morena, his sister, Rose Schwartzer, and his beloved nephew, Ken Schwartzer, in eternal life. Known throughout his life as “Tony”, “TM”, or” Mo”, he was born and raised in Mt. Washington. He and Dolly were married at St. Raphael Church in 1967 in Morningside, where they stayed for 24 years and raised their family. Those years with his young family were filled with fun and memorable times, including annual summer vacations to two of his favorite places, New Jersey and Hilton Head. During these years he enjoyed hunting and golfing, past times he taught his son to love, and he was the All-American dad, always playing sports with his kids, cards with his friends, and enjoying time with not only his children but his extended family as well. In 1991, he and Dolly realized their lifelong goal and built their dream house in Scott Township. Despite his move from Mt. Washington after marriage, Tony remained a “Mt. Washington guy” his whole life. His greatest friendships until the very end remained his friends from the neighborhood. Known as “Our Gang”, they shared more laughs, stories, and good times than can be recounted. RYAN ANTHONY BOPP Age 33, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, after a painful battle with drug addiction. He was born on July 19, 1987, in Pittsburgh to Kimberley (Kerr) Christy. He was a 2005 graduate of Baldwin High School. After graduation, Ryan traveled the country and became an award-winning salesman. Even at the top of success, he was crippled with anxiety and depression which led to his drug addiction. Outwardly, Ryan portrayed he had it all, but remained detached. Although we love Ryan, he was steadfast in battling alone. We hope this obituary illustrates the importance of seeking help. Ryan was preceded by his grandmother, Irene Smith and stepbrother, Evan Christy. He is survived by his grandfather, Harold Smith; his mother, Kimberley (Donald) Christy; his father, Anthony Bopp; brothers, Zachary (Katy) Bopp and Corey Bopp; stepbrother, Ryan (Kelly) Christy; stepsister, Rebecca (Ryan) Pawuk and the Smith, Recker and Thompson families.
