SHIRLEY ANN BRANKLEY Age 85, of Cheswick, died August 10, 2020, at home with loved ones. She was born on July 9, 1935, in Pittsburgh to parents, James Schmitt and Emma (Lutz). She married Herbert J. Brankley on May 1, 1954, and together they started a close-knit family that now spans four generations. Raised in Troy Hill and Garfield, Shirley moved with Herb to Penn Hills, where they raised their family. She hosted lively parties and had a lifelong flair for music, performing and entertaining. At family gatherings she was always at the heart of conversation, holding court with guests and grandkids. Shirley welcomed visitors with an elegantly appointed home and her delicious cooking. A loving homemaker, she kept a pristine house and earned her nickname: Old Dutch Cleanser. Along with Herb, she was a patron of the arts and culture in Pittsburgh. She could often be found cheering on the Pirates and Pens, or golfing with Herb - especially on family vacations to Hilton Head Island. In her final days, she was visited by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, got to meet her newest great-granddaughter and enjoyed her beloved sister Eileen's soup. She was eager to vote for a change in administration in November, and she hoped others would do the same. Shirley is survived by her husband; sister, Eileen Sebring; and brother, James Schmitt; son, Dave (Cheryl) of Oakmont; daughters, Jan (Bob Serafini) of Monroeville, Karen (Joe Sabo) of Monroeville, Laura (Dustin Hagg) of Cranberry and Mary Ellen (Ed Meindl) of Monroeville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later date. Stanley honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War. Geneva was born on March 15, 1927, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Henry J. and Genevieve (Lavelle) Franz. Geneva was a member of the St. Regis Church, Trafford. She was in the first graduating class of Seton-LaSalle High School Class of 1945. After graduating from Seton-LaSalle, she enlisted in the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps through Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated in 1948 then went on to have a career in nursing, working in Pittsburgh Hospital and Children's Hospital. In later years, she joined her husband in the family business, B. H. Stumpf Moving and Storage. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Stumpf and her brother, Richard L. Franz. She is survived by her children, Mary Jo Cartwright of N. Huntingdon, Elizabeth DeStefano (Jim) of Apollo, Bernie Stumpf (Lisa) of Irwin and Paul Stumpf (Charene) of Jeannette; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her brother, Henry B. He was born on February 28, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA. Michael leaves behind his cherished wife, Olivia (Nudi) Bizub; his children, Michael III, Mathew (Kim), Myles, and Melissa; and his grandchildren, Annabella, Avery, Taylor, Anthony, Madelyn, and Caroline. He is survived by his sisters, Dorris Cable, Michele McGonigal, and Elizabeth Steigerwald; and his in-laws, Earl Nudi (Rose), Patrick Nudi (Dawn), Peter Nudi (Kathy), Nina Dryna (Daniel), MaryAnn Sembrat (Stefan), and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. JAMES ROBERT DELMAR Age 99, of New Haven Court at Clearview, Butler, PA, passed away at Newhaven Court on Friday, August 7, 2020, following a brief illness. He was born on January 22, 1921, in Bellaire, OH to Nicholai DiLembo and Carmela DiNardo DiLembo. He married Georgetta Helen Lintner in 1944 and she preceded him in death on October 11, 1969. He later married Betty Lou Smith Stillwagon on March 15, 1974, and she preceded him in death on July 15, 2016. Jim graduated from South Hills High School and later Duquesne University. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving actively in WWII. Along with two brothers, whom also served in the US Military during the War, the family was grateful that all three men survived this ordeal and came home safely. Jim was a very active and resourceful businessman whose training was in accounting. In addition to maintaining a private accounting practice until 2018, he worked 25 years for NY State Natural Gas and owned and operated three business including, Automotive Parts CO; Tri Western Warehouse and Ardmore Brake Services. Jim enjoyed golf and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was a 40 + year season ticket holder. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Survivors include son, James Nicholas Delmar of Murrysville, PA; step-daughters, Dreama Lee (James) Delmar of Murrysville, Denise Lyn (Joseph) Brydon of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren, Lisa Lyn Delmar of New York City; James Richard Delmar of Butler, Katie Lee (Thomas) Forse of Zelienople, Adam Joseph (Jessica) Brydon of San Antonio, TX, Alex Daniel Brydon of Nashville, TN; and a great-granddaughter, Kamryn Marie Brydon. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wives; son, Lynn David Delmar; grandson, David Delmar; sister, Sylvia Augustine; and brothers, Joseph and Anthony DiLembo. ANNA ELIZABETH PFEIFER Anna Elizabeth Pfeifer, age 100, went to be with her Lord on August 9, 2020. She was born on January 30, 1920, in Shaler, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Hoffman. Anna graduated from Shaler High School in 1938. After graduating from Beauty School in 1942, she worked at Anne's Beauty Shop in Sharpsburg. Anna was a faithful member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Millvale, PA for 70 years; serving on the Ladies Aid and Alter Guild, and teaching Sunday School for many years. In her later years, she was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Cabot, PA. Anna Married her beloved late Husband, Alvin F. Pfeifer on May 29, 1948. They lived in Shaler until moving to Cabot in 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Suanne (Michael) Ring of Iowa and two sons, Leonard Pfeifer of Finleyville and Richard and his wife, Rosemary Pfeifer of West Finley; grandmother of Christopher and his wife, Karen Ring, David and his wife, Keri Ring, Stephen and his wife, Emily Ring, Matthew and his wife, Melissa Ring, Jennifer and her husband, Brinton Ealyand and Laura and her husband, Nick Hornbeck; great-grandmother of 16; sister of Harold (Marion) Hoffman and the late, Francis Hoffman and Garnetta Herrholz.
