She graduated as the Salutatorian from Point Park College with a B.A., Magna Cum Laude in Psychology and from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Social Work, Summa Cum Laude. She also earned certification from the Academy of Clinical Social Workers. After graduation, Rose Marie worked for three years for Allegheny County, providing mental health services to the North Hills community. She thereafter opened a private counseling practice, which she maintained for more than twenty-years, providing psychotherapy services to individuals and families. In addition, she worked at Allegheny General Hospital for more than a decade, serving as a bereavement services coordinator in the hospice program and a rehabilitation services coordinator in the homecare program. She also enjoyed mentoring social workers in training, providing professional development guidance to students as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Social Work. Rose Marie was a charter member of the Vincentian Villa community that opened nine years ago, where she found dear hearts and gentle people who lived and worked there. There, over the last three years, she had begun to learn to play the piano. Rose Marie's parting wish was that voices of love would be heard, prevailing over the voices of hate, while our country and the world find their way to sustained peace and harmony.
