BOKOR FRANK P. Age 91, of Monroeville, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. Beloved husband for 57 years to Frances (Pribila) Bokor; son of the late Vincent and Katerina (Oravec) Bokor; and brother of the late Mathilda Skowran, Helen Bokor, and Bernard Bokor; he is also survived by nieces and nephews. Frank was a U.S. Marine WWII veteran and had retired from Westinghouse Electric Co., where he was employed as a draftsman with 39 years of service. LEMKE HERBERT J. 84, of Murrysville, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014. He was born March 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of the late Joseph and Alice Lang Lemke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lemke in 1996; a son, Jack M. Lemke; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Lemke. Herbert was president of Admiral Payroll Systems for over 25 years and served in the Navy in WWII. He is survived by his beloved companion, Patricia Butler; two sons, Gary (Suzan) Lemke of Murrysville, and Dale (Linda) Lemke of Delmont; a daughter, Sheryl (Chuck) Johnson of Churchill; ten grandchildren, Kelly Pampalone, Daniel, Ryan, and Christopher Lemke, Amanda and Andrea Johnson, Jason and Emily Lemke, Bryan and Julie Lemke; and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, at HART FUNERAL HOME, INC., Murrysville. SOLTIS ROSEMARIE MARGARET (HEINLEIN) On February 11, 2014, Rosemarie Margaret (Heinlein) Soltis, 84, after a long illness, passed away at her home in Cary, North Carolina. She was the wife of the late James John Soltis; daughter of the late Carl W. Heinlein and late Matilda (Freismuth) Heinlein; mother of James John (Karen) Soltis, Jr. of FL, Carlyn “Kate” Kline of Pennsylvania, the late David Joseph Soltis, Victoria Marie Soltis-Jarrett (David Jarrett) of North Carolina, and Thomas James (Tracy) Soltis of Texas. Rosemarie is also survived by two brothers, Carl Heinlein (Karen) and Donald Heinlein (Shirley), also of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosemarie worked at General Electric after graduating from Perry High School on the North Side of Pittsburgh in 1947. She met her husband, James Soltis, while working at GE and married in 1950, going on to be a stay-at-home mom to her five children. She loved to bowl with her girlfriends, and was active in her church, St. John Newman, until moving to North Carolina in 2008 to be near her daughter, Victoria, with whom she was very close. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Mass and Memorial will be on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Pittsburgh, PA, due to weather issues and the fact that she lived in North Carolina. She will then be buried in Pennsylvania with her late husband, James, and her son, David, in North Side Catholic Cemetery. CASPER STEPHEN J. Of Ocala, FL, 64, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Mr. Casper had moved to Ocala in October of 2013. He had worked as a structural engineer in Exeter, New Hampshire with Waldron Engineering for several years before retiring due to illness. Steve loved the outdoors and had hiked the Appalachian Trail eight months in 1999, starting at Springer Mountain in Georgia and ending in Rangley, Maine. He and Patti, his wife and companion of almost 25 years, took their "Bucket List" trip in 2009, traveling through 33 states in 11 weeks; a trip they will never regret. He hiked a large portion of the Cross Florida Greenway in 2013. Steve wanted to keep on walking. His wish is for his cremated remains to be scattered from the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire on the Appalachian Trail. He is survived by his loving wife, Patti; and his sister, Stephanie Antoinette (Sissy) Casper, Pittsburgh, PA. Meisenburg; and loving mother of Robert, Richard, and the late Patricia; she was a cherished Nana to Christine, Kenzie, and Randy; and a great- Nana to Maliyah, Avery, and Kinley Rae. She was dedicated to her family and was the 'glue' that has kept us together. Her passions were horticulture, making crafts at which she was very talented, and sports. Her #1 team was The Steelers, and if she wasn't at a game she hosted a football party. Her #2 team was the Arizona Diamondbacks, who she watched faithfully. MISITIS JAN HENRY 73, of Melbourne, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born to Mary Hryniszak and Frank Joseph Misitis on November 2, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Duquesne University, University of Miami and Florida International University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and graduated from officer's candidate school. He served in Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Panama. He was very proud of his Special Forces military service. He enjoyed diving, wood carving and antique bottle collecting. He is survived by his wife, Mary Mangan Misitis; two brothers, Frank and wife, Lois of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul and wife, Lois of West Hickory, PA; sister, Carole Misitis of Pittsburgh; three step-children; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. HARWAY NORMAN I. Died peacefully, on February 24, 2014, at the age of 88. Resident of Milwaukee, WI, formerly of Wilmette, IL, Pittsburgh, PA, Mashpee, MA, Rochester, NY, and New York, NY. He was predeceased in 2010 by his beloved wife of 59 years, Vivian T. Harway. Devoted father of Maura Harway (Richard Mark) and Judith Harway (Daniel Armstrong); and grandfather of Alice Mark, Sylvie Armstrong, Keith Armstrong and Hannah Mark. Norman's parents, the late Joseph and Hannah Harway, raised their son in Manhattan during the Great Depression. Norman attended New York's public schools including Townsend Harris High School and the City College of New York. After army service in World War II (in both the European and Pacific theaters), Norman earned a doctorate in Psychology from the University of Rochester in 1952. It was in that program that he met Vivian, they married in 1951 and were the only two to earn degrees in their cohort. Norman had a long and distinguished career in the field of clinical psychology, including service on the faculties of the University of Rochester and at the University of Pittsburgh (where he was department chair) and, while on sabbatical, the University of South Australia. An avid photographer, his remarkable pictures of landscapes, flora and fauna decorated his home. In retirement, he and Vivian traveled the world, and delighted in their grandchildren's accomplishments at home. A private family memorial has been held.
