He was a supervisor at the former Union Switch and Signal. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, also a member of Unity Community Church. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Angela (Tallo) Joyce of Plum; three daughters; three stepchildren, Charles (Jodi) Bell of Delmont, Sean (Perri) Bell of Shaler, Stephanie Shaffer of Plum; five grandchildren; and brother, James (Mary) Joyce of Valencia. Born October 9, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thayer and Nan (McLaughlin) Christner. Beloved husband of Callie Henry Christner; loving father of Scott Christner, Todd (Debbie) Christner, Joan (Philip) Joson, and Leslie (Craig) Stiffler; dear brother of Jim (Pam) Christner; cherished grandfather of Todd II (Amanda Elldge) Christner, Vicki (Andy) Owen, Scott II Christner, Chris, Lindsey and A.J. Joson, and Matt and Kate Stiffler; great- grandfather of Ethan and Noah Owen, and Liam Christner. Ed enjoyed traveling with his family. He was a proud 1956 graduate of Pitt, whereupon he accepted a position at B.F. Goodrich International. He retired after 35 years as Senior Vice Present for the International Division. McLAUGHLIN PAULINE C. Of McKees Rocks, age 86, died February 24, 2014, at the Ohio Valley General Hospital. Born January 20, 1928, in Pittsburgh and moved to Willoughby, OH October 1971, and along with her husband, Charles, lived and cared for the Osborne house and grounds at the North End of Willoughby. Also were apartment managers at River Aisle Terrace Apartments, longtime member of Willoughby Senior Center, taught ballroom dancing, and was one of the line dance performers for 20 years in nursing homes. Was also a past member of the Red Hat Society. Did volunteer work and was noted as 1983 outstanding Willoughby Senior, past member of East Lake Baptist Church, loved to bake, crochet and just learned to knit in 2009. Surviving are her children, Ramona (Jack) Dawgiello of Pittsburgh, Sherry Lee of Pittsburgh, Paulette of Florida, Sherwood of Pittsburgh, Robert of Cleveland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. McLaughlin, who worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Willoughby. Per her wishes, there will be no visitation.
