DONATELLI DON JOSEPH Don Joseph Donatelli passed away, August 19, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 23, 1944, in Oklahoma City, OK, the eldest son of Herman and Catherine Donatelli, both deceased. He was raised in Aspinwall, Pittsburgh, and attended Catholic schools and graduated from North Catholic High School in 1963. He attended Virginia Technical Institute and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1967. He was recruited by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville and worked there for five years in their design engineering department while taking night classes at Penn State Behrend for a Master's Degree. Having always wanted to start a business, the first North Street Auto Supply opened November 7, 1971. Don pursued and eventually built the new 10,000 square foot facility on Mead Avenue, and in ten years expanded to 16,000 square feet with double decking. The business was very successful and he sold it on March 23, 2000, and worked for several years with the new owners. He took early retirement and along with his wife, Cathy, traveled the world by cruising, by land tours, and traveled 45 of the states from the eyes of his motor home. In addition to his loving wife, Catherine (McCaughtry) Donatelli; survivors include two daughters, Lisa M. Anantarow, of Pittsburgh, Kara M. Donatelli and her husband, Brent Cray, of Lubbock, TX; one grandson, Kaden J. Anantarow; two brothers, James Donatelli and Paul Donatelli, both of Pittsburgh. Don was preceded in death by a nephew, Frederic P. Stark; and a sister-in-law, Marcelline J. Gibbs. Don will be laid to rest in New Lebanon Cemetery. LIESCH GRANT HARLAND, Jr. Grant, age 66, of Sturgeon, PA died Saturday, August 19, 2017. He was born February 4, 1951, in Sewickley a son of the late Grant H. Liesch and Maria Louise Bryan Liesch. Mr. Liesch was a retired US Army Vietnam veteran and was a member of the McDonald VFW. Surviving are his wife, Roberta Yoder Liesch and his children, Ed, Denise, Chris and Andrew (Danielle) Liesch; grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Liesch and Patience Martin. JACKIM ROBERT R. “BOB” Bob Jackim, of Moon Twp., died August 18, 2017. Bob was born on August 11, 1948, in Salem, MA to Zigmund J. and Ann S. Jackim who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School, Whitehall, PA, Salem College, Salem, WV, and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a Master's of Public Health degree. Bob's employment included NUS Environmental Corporation and Weirton Steel Corporation as an Industrial Hygienist. He was Industrial Hygiene Manager at the Department of Energies National Energy Technology Center at Bruceton and was also an Adjunct Instructor at Youngstown State University. He is survived by his brother, John Jackim, of Port Orange, FL and James “Jim” Jackim, of Moon Twp., PA; as well as a niece and two nephews. Bob was proud of his Polish Heritage and was a member of Pittsburgh's Polonia Song and Dance Ensemble. He also served on the boards of the Pittsburgh Folk and Polish Festivals. JAKUB FRANK B. Age 88, of North Versailles passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was born on November 15, 1928 in Duquesne, a son of the late Michael and Anna (Banosky) Jakub. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, John, Andrew, Edward, and Michael R. Jakub. He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Marlene (Timko); children, Karen (husband, John, Jr.) Bielic, Robert (wife, Ellen Losco), and Lynn (husband, Gordon) Vytlacil; grandchildren, Christina (Neil) Pickard and Matthew Bielic; and his brothers and sisters, Albert, William, Florence Jakub, and Dolores Mewkalo. Frank was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Army Corps of Engineers building bridges. He has lived in North Versailles since 1957, and has worked as a steel mill worker, carpenter, general contractor, a member of the maintenance department at G.C. Murphy's Warehouse in the Christy Park section of McKeesport, PA, and neighborhood handyman. He built homes and garages throughout the Pittsburgh area with the most significant construction being the fur storage facility for the old Green Valley Cleaners in North Versailles. TOBIN PAUL F., Sr. Age 69, of Moon Twp., passed away at his home with his family at his side on Aug. 20, 2017. He was born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 3, 1947 to the late Paula McConnell and Francis Tobin. He was an Air Force Vietnam combat veteran. Paul graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in August, 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and founded PKMJ Technical Services, Inc., where he worked with his family for 35 years. Paul was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the VFW, and the American Legion. Paul was also a licensed private pilot. The highlight of his life was his five children and eight grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rippole Tobin; five children, Paul (Beckie) Tobin, Kevin Tobin, Matt (Julie) Tobin all of Moon Twp., Joe (Lauren) Tobin of Hookstown and Maggie Tobin of Russellville, AR; eight grandchildren, Grace, Sarah, Colby, Matthew, Avery, Allison, Abigail and Jameson Tobin; four sisters, Pamella Rippole of Kennedy Twp., Colleen (Jose) Aragon of NM, Mary Ellen (Tim) Herman of FL, Patricia Ann (Darryl) Isaac of FL, and a brother, Terry Tobin of FL. GUZAN WILLIAM “WILLIE,” Jr. Age 89, of Harmony Twp., died Monday, August 21, 2017. He was born January 17, 1928, in Ambridge, PA, to the late William and Eva (Greb) Guzan. Following his graduation from Ambridge High School, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1946. He served as a Tech 5 in the General Headquarters, Far East Command Occupation Services in Tokyo, Japan. Bill married Frances Kordas on August 30, 1953, in Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Ambridge and shared 64 years of marriage. He worked as an overhead craneman for Armco Steel Tubular retiring in 1985, with 36 years of service. He was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Ambridge Eagles, and St. John the Baptist Brotherhood #66. Willie had many other talents and abilities. He personally built the two houses he lived in as an adult and helped others build houses. He loved construction projects such as garages, porches, sidewalks, and home improvements. He was well known for creating beautiful Easter eggs “pysanka” with uniquely intricate and artistic designs. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his two sisters, Elizabeth (Guzan) Sudik and Mary (Guzan) Wright. He leaves his wife, Frances (Kordas) Guzan; three sons, Mark W. Guzan and his wife, Nancy, of Pittsburgh, John (Guzan) Garner, of Phoenixville, PA, William A. Guzan, of Coraopolis; two grandchildren, Emily (Jason) Weisser, of Sewickley, Nick Guzan, of Pittsburgh; great-grandson, Lucas Paul Weisser; brother, George Guzan, of Ambridge; and five nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 833 Kennedy Dr., Ambridge, where prayers will be offered Friday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a church service at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Ghost Orthodox Church. His pastor, The Very Rev. William J. Evansky will officiate. Interment with full military honors provided by the Beaver County Special Unit will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Economy Cemetery.
