After retirement, she was a volunteer for South Park Meals-on-Wheels out of Grace Lutheran Church for 20 years. ROBINSON CHARLES CHARLIE Age 68, of Frazer Twp. Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. He passed peacefully at home, after a long illness, in the company of his loved ones. Charlie was born on October 30, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA to Samuel and Eleanore Robinson. He served in the Navy from 1968 - 1973 serving two tours in Vietnam as an interpreter. Charlie graduated from Penn State University. He worked for the federal government in Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh until his retirement. He enjoyed all sports, especially Penn State Football, and enjoyed spending time at home with his family. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Eleanore (Karcher) Robinson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana; sisters, Kathleen Robinson and Mary Jane Yankowski; daughters, Jaime, Jessica (Brandon) and Jennifer; granddaughters, Kiana, Treyhaunna and Haleigh; and grandson, Charlie. DeFAZIO MARY JEAN (BECK) A woman who loved the Lord and her family with all her heart, was taken to her heavenly home from her earthly residence, on Monday, August 21, 2017, surrounded by her family at the age of 67. She was born in Pittsburgh on December 19, 1949, to the late Eugene and Margaret (Jackson) Beck. Currently residing in Sewickley, she was formerly of McCandless. Beloved wife of Thomas A. DeFazio; loving mother of Thomas Eugene DeFazio (Bill Beaumont), of Oakdale and Amanda DeFazio (Dean) Backeris, of Highland Park; well-loved grandmother of Evan, Max, and Austin Backeris; cherished sister of Barbara (Richard) Swaja, of Seabrook Island, SC; also, her devoted King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Jackson, Maggie, and Sadie. Jeanne, a member of St. Stephen's Church, Lay Minister and served on the Board of Samaritan Counseling Center, was kind and loving to others. She also was a member of Trowel and Error Garden Club. For 12 years, Jeanne owned and operated of Cheers Gifts Antiques and Interiors in Sewickley. She was an illustrator for Hornes, Kaufmann's, and Marc Advertising. She was a former owner of Artist Garden in the North Hills. Jeanne was a 1967 graduate of West Mifflin North High School where she was active in the yearbook, student council, and currently planning their 50th class reunion. Jeanne had attended art class at CMU and obtained her degree from the Art Institute. Her specialty was women's clothing ads for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jeanne, creative, an artist, and illustrator, felt her grandsons were the light of her life, such a special gift. She was one to say, I love them more than they love me.
