MURPHY ELIZABETH A. (FRANCIS) Age 93, of Pittsburgh, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 1, 2017. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 3, 1924, to William and Lillian Francis. Elizabeth is survived by her loving son, Donald James (Karen) Murphy; granddaughter, April D. Murphy; great-grandchildren, Vivian May Tofias, William and Elsie Carter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Lillian M. (Stroop) Francis; and her beloved husband of 75 years, James P. Murphy, Jr. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. More recently, she enjoyed spending time with her great- grandchildren. Elizabeth was quite artistic and relished reading novels. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. for a memorial visitation at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
