He was preceded in death by his son, Roger P. Prine. PITTS MARCIA L. "MARCY" Age 65, of Pittsburgh, died on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at UPMC Magee. She was born on May 30, 1948 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sylvia Ackerman Pitts. She is survived by her sister, Robby (Jay Starr) Levy of Delray Beach, FL; nephew, Howard (Melissa) Levy of Hingham, MA; niece, Jennifer Levy of Manhattan, NY; and three great-nephews, Jack, Alex, and Charlie; aunts, Harriet Marks and Bernice Tannenbaum; and wonderful cousins. Marcy was a 1966 graduate of McKeesport High School, a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and her Master's of Science Degree in social work. Marcy retired from The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where she was an Advocate for Social Security and Disability Benefits. Presently, she operated her own business as an Advocate for Social Security and Disability Benefits. Marcy was the first woman and member of the ticket selling union for the Civic Arena, Pgh. BEREZNAY MATTHEW N. 61, of New Eagle, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, in McMurray Hills Manor. He was born December 16, 1952 in Monongahela, the son of the late Charles Bereznay and Ruth Walters Bereznay, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon. Matthew was employed for over 25 years as a mortgage loan officer for several different companies, retiring from West Penn Financial in Pittsburgh. A licensed pilot at the age of 19, he had a passion for flying. He also was an avid golfer, loved sports, taking walks in Mingo Park and performing his job. He is survived by his wife, Jean Read Bereznay, with whom he celebrated 19 years of marriage on October 1, 2013; son, Michael (Amy) Bereznay of Sewickley; two grandsons, Carson and Logan Bereznay; brother, John (Vanessa) Bereznay of Belle Vernon; sister, Gail Bell of Monongahela. DAVIS SUZANNE (KEISER) 76, of Media, PA, Suzanne Davis passed away suddenly on January 9, 2014, due to complications from leukemia. Born and raised in Wilkinsburg, PA, she graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and Carnegie Tech. When she was a stay at home mom, she used her artistic talents to contribute to the household income. Her artwork adorns many homes and has won a number of awards at the Media Art Festival and the Riddle Fair. She was also a skilled seamstress and a great cook. Upon re-entering the workforce, she worked as the longtime sales manager at Media Subaru before going on to the Franklin Mint, and later Congregation Beth Israel of Media where she was the administrator at the time of her death. She was a family and local history enthusiast and a member of the Middletown Township Historical Society. She also helped compile and write the history books of the Williamson Trade School. A lifetime animal lover, she enjoyed watching the backyard wildlife feed as she had her morning coffee. She also enjoyed spending evenings on her patio with her beloved late grandcat, Blackie, by her side on his own chair. Cape May, NJ was one of her favorite places. Suzanne was a great mom and grandmother and she will be terribly missed by many. She was the daughter of the late Paul R. and Beverley (Brown) Keiser; sister of the late John P. Keiser; and the widow of the late Howard C. Davis, Jr. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Robert), Jay (Patricia), and Randal; stepchildren, H. Carl (Carrie) and Holly; and eight grandchildren. Suzanne's Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Her ashes will be scattered in Ligonier, PA, a place that held for her many fond memories of her youth. Born in McKeesport, December 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dora Klein Mendlowitz; wife of the late Harold Dickman and the late Elmer Neuman; she is survived by her son, Murray (Ann Marie) Dickman; and by her granddaughter, Julie Rose. A retired teacher in the McKeesport Area School District, Mrs. Neuman was a member of the Temple B'nai Israel and the former Congregation Tree of Life. A graveside service was held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tree of Life Cemetery, Versailles Borough with Rabbi Paul Tuchman officiating. PATTERSON MARILYN COBB “LYNNIE” Age 67, of Shadyside, passed away on January 9, 2014. Born in 1946 to Arlene and George L. Cobb, in Middletown, CT, she married William Morrow Patterson, Jr., in 1974 and became mother to Elizabeth “Lizzie” Barnett Patterson in 1975. A graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall and Simmons College, Marilyn enjoyed a successful real estate career for more than 30 years. She was an eight-year survivor of Glioblastoma Multiforme IV but died from complications of pneumonia. Throughout her illness, Marilyn exhibited unwavering courage and was an inspiration to all. Marilyn was loved by many for her gregarious nature and creative sense of humor. She was thoughtful toward others and often practiced selfless acts of kindness. An avid scrabble player and talented athlete, she nurtured strong relationships with her family and countless friends. Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her loving daughter, Lizzie (Gary); grandsons, Brawley and Morrow Niels; stepdaughters, Josephine Patterson (Ben) and Juli Patterson; stepson, William Morrow Patterson (Rena); adoring sister, Cynthia C. Ingram; brothers, Ralph Cobb (June) and George L. Cobb, Jr. (Debbie); and brother-in-law, David H. Patterson (Pam). She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, Sarah Hemphill, Hank Ingram, Alice Kearney, Suzanne Burnette, Seth Cobb, Christie Cobb, Allison Hussey, Brooks Cobb, Christopher Patterson, Jeff Patterson, and Amy Fox. Marlene was a 65-year resident of Squirrel Hill, whose career included both paid and volunteer pursuits in the areas of retail management, bookkeeping, girl scouting, Hadassah, and educational advocacy. She and her beloved husband of 59 years, Bob Levite, fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Florida in 1997 where they enjoyed a blissful retirement until Bob's passing in 2012. Marlene is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Alan) Buncher and Karen Zimmerman; along with grandchildren, Brad (Charla) Buncher, Samantha Buncher, Andrew Zimmerman, and Jordyn Zimmerman; and great- granddaughter, Lilly.
