SEELNACHT MARGARET "BETTY" (DANIELS) Age 78, of Hampton Township, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at her home. Betty was born in Johnson City, TN. She was the daughter of the late Ruby Stroup and Theodore R. Daniels. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was the beloved wife of James Seelnacht, Sr.; loving and adored mother of James Seelnacht, Jr., Daniel Seelnacht and Jeffrey Seelnacht; devoted grandmother of James III, Bryan, Mateo and Nayeli; sister of Samuel, William and George Daniels; also numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Daniels; and sister, Ellen Wilson. VAN HORN GEORGE THOMAS, Jr. Born July 19, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away December 27, 2013, after a short battle with cancer. He received a BA and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. After a successful career in banking in Pittsburgh, he moved to Houston in 1981, where he continued to work in the banking and mortgage industries, lately as president of American Mortgage Solutions. He was active in The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, The Woodlands 4th of July Parade Committee and the Kiwanis, through which he loved being involved with the Special Olympics. He was a Republican Precinct Chairman and President of the Grogan's Mill Village Association. He enjoyed travel and was a patron of the Houston Symphony and the Museum of Fine Arts, and was an avid Pitt Panther and Steelers fan. He is survived by his wife, Amy; brother, Carl; and sister-in-law, Christy of Highland Park, NJ; nephews, Ross of Austin and Evan of Maine; and stepchildren, Harlan Scott and Andrea Turnipseed of Austin. WALKER RUSSELL D. Age 65, on Thursday, January 9, 2014 of Whitehall. Beloved husband of Karen (Monro) Walker; father of Emily and Theresa Walker; son of the late Norbert and Sarah Ann Walker; brother of Carl (Marlynne) Walker and the late Ronald (survived by Patricia) Walker, Kenneth Walker, R. Raymond (survived by Karen) Walker, and Susan Walker. Russell was a retired teacher for the Trinity Area School District, where he taught Reading and English for 35 1/2 years. He was also an avid gardener who was interested in environmentally- friendly gardening techniques. Russell was a passionate supporter of the Whitehall Public Library. As a teenager, he was the second page ever hired by the library. He had a nine-year tenure on the Whitehall Public Library's Board of Trustees, serving as Board President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Allegheny County Library Association representative. Russell recently took an active role in the Friends of Whitehall Library. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SCHNEEMAN RICHARD J. Age 71, a retired (1993) Pennsylvania State Trooper, formerly of Moon Twp. area, passed away Jan. 2, 2014 in Monroe, MI. He was born in Sewickley Aug. 27, 1942 to the late Rose Kuzio and Henry Schneeman. Richard was a Catholic by faith, a Navy veteran, and member of FOP Lodge 4, Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, and a past Commodore of the Monroe Michigan Boat Club. He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Todd) Richards of Beaver, PA, Richard L. Schneeman of North Versailles, PA; five grandchildren; a sister, Roseanne (Andrew) Langton of Hopewell Twp.; three brothers, Henry (Dixie) Schneeman of Ohio, Fred (Ruth) Schneeman of Florida and Robert (Linda) Schneeman of Colorado; also his cherished companion and canine granddaughter, Bella. REIFF PAUL EUGENE After a courageous battle with cancer, Paul Reiff, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at age 71. He was born March 5, 1942 in Pittsburgh to Charles and Anna Diller Reiff, where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of South Hills High School (1959). He is survived by Arlene, his beloved wife of 44 years; loving father of Susan Louks (Matt) of Roanoke, Texas; loving brother of Thomas (Bernie) of Pittsburgh; loving uncle to Charles (Beth) and James (Karen) Reiff of Pittsburgh; proud and loving great-uncle to Kayleigh, Siena, Rachel, Sydney and Lauren Reiff; also survived by several cousins. While living in Pittsburgh, Paul was a volunteer for the Whitehall Borough EMS in the early 1980s. Paul was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He will be sorely missed by all.
