O'HEARN ROBERT JOSEPH On Tuesday, January 10, 2017, peacefully, cherished husband of Theresa Provenzo; loving father of Deirdre O'Hearn and Timothy Baldwin, Stephen Sean O'Hearn and Demmler Schenck, Kirsten and Eric Donny; affectionate and adoring grandfather of Frances and Audrey Donny. Also survived by sister-in-law, Kathleen O'Hearn; brother- in-law, Sidney Foltz II; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Alice Brink, Mary Foltz, Arthur, Joanne, and Richard O'Hearn. Bob, known as Mac in his later years, was a dedicated traveler and appreciated the colorful and dramatic, especially in jazz, paintings, and movies. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and then taught college mathematics, including an adventurous stay in Afghanistan with his first wife and mother of his children, Monica (Zettler-Segal). Bob then worked at Gulf Oil Corporation for many happy years. There he met his wife, Theresa; 30 years after meeting, they became reacquainted, married and enjoyed the adventures of travel and grandparenthood together. Bob worked with several charitable organizations, including VISTA and Meals-On-Wheels, and volunteered at many hospitals and senior centers. In honor of his quiet generosity, contributions may be made to 350.org, an environmental charity, and St. Joseph's Indian School (P.O. Box 300, 1301 N. Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325-0300). NEISER ROBERT CAMERON Passed away quietly in Pittsburgh, PA on Monday, January 9, 2017, following a long battle with congestive heart failure and related illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 15, 1939, to Rudolph John and Laura Ellen (Cameron) Neiser. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War and in counter intelligence on assignment in Panama. Bob's career spanned many fields, including sales, service and management positions with Allstate Insurance, Columbia Gas, Sears, Jefferson Hospital, where he developed an improved method for food service delivery, Sexton Foods, where he was awarded for highest annual sales, and Home Healthcare Services. Bob's military experience inspired a lasting interest in U.S. history, politics, and spy novels. He also enjoyed gardening, collecting model trains and stamps, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his beloved wife, Iris Delio (Ocasio); son, Robert Charles (Ruth) Neiser, of Manassas, VA; daughter, Laura Jane (William) Snyder of Bethel Park, PA; dear sister, Lois Jean (John Richard) Murphy of Powell, OH; four grandchildren, George, Jon, Luke, Ben; niece, Cynda Ellen (Robert) Bernardo; nephew, Greg Steven (Charma) Neiser; and three grandnieces. Including his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Nedria (Kerr). A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 250 North Dithridge St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
