POPINSKI STANLEY Age 87, of Shaler Twp., on Friday, November 27, 2015, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Eleanor Marie Vistein Popinski; his children, Janice Coffman, Stan Popinski and his wife, Sandra, Joyce Popinski Wills and her husband, John, Barry Popinski and his wife, Theresa, Joan Popinski Kryl and her husband, Ken and Jayne Gaus. Stanley is survived by 16 grandchildren, Tammy, Brian, Jennifer, Amy, Lisa, Jason, Johnny, Samantha, Wayne, Heather, Brandon, Paula, Valerie, Angela, Frank and Ashley. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren. Stanley grew up in Lawrenceville, was very proud of his Polish heritage, served in the Army during WWII and was a machinist at several box companies for over 35 years. He served as an usher at St. Bonaventure Church for 40 years and he loved bowling and playing cards. Friends will be received Saturday 6-8 and Sunday 12-8 p.m. at the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. TOTH ANNA M. “G.G.” Age 94, of Midland, PA, formerly of Duquesne Heights/Mount Washington area of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015, in the home of her daughter, Jean, with whom she resided. Born July 24, 1921, in Tarrs, PA, Westmoreland County, daughter of Josephine and John Zaporosky. Anna was a waitress for many years providing services at Pa-Pitts Diner on Sawmill Run Blvd., Eat'n Park on Banksville Rd. and 40 years of service at Ritter's Diner on Baum Blvd., Bloomfield from which she retired at the age of 84. Anna loved her sports, Pirates her favorite of all time, along with Penguins and Steelers. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis N. “Pappy” Toth in 2007. Anna and Lewis were married 60 years. Anna is survived by three children, Lawrence Toth of Penn Hills, PA, Jeanie Toth of Midland, PA and Barbara Redlinger (Tim) of Imperial, PA; along with nine grandchildren, Christian Toth, Justin Toth (Becky) and Autumn Toth, Stacie (Sisteck) Davey (Tom), Marcie (Sisteck) Sovick (Brandon), Bryan Sisteck (Lori), Todd Emeloff, Stefany (Redlinger) Betschart (Patrick) and Brandon Redlinger; and ten great- grandchildren, Lindsae and Caden Toth, Mallory and Liam Davey, Jaina Sovick, Braden and Genna Sisteck, Jonathan Waltrowski, Greysen Emeloff and Violet Betschart. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by five sisters; and one brother. MURDOCH DAVID A. Age 73, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in his home in Aleppo Twp., surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joan; and his children, Christina (Chicago), Timothy (Devon) (Aleppo Twp.), and Deborah (Pittsburgh); and two cherished grandchildren, Wylie David, and Mac Christian; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark and his sister, Grace (Squire). David was a K&LGates LLP equity partner for 33 years and became Of Counsel in 2012. During his professional career he was elected to membership in the American Law Institute (1993), the American College of Bankruptcy (1994) and the International Insolvency Institute (2008). He was a member of the National TriBar Opinion Committee and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for International Legal Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He also served as Honorary Consul in Pittsburgh for the Federal Republic of Germany for 11 years. He was awarded the prestigious Bundesverdienstkreuz (Cross of the Order of Merit) by the Federal Republic of Germany for enhancing relationships between the United States of America and the Federal Republic of Germany. He served in the United States Army as First Lieutenant (1968) of the Medical Service Corps and Captain (1969-71) stationed in Germany. Son of the late Armor Murdoch and N. Edna Murdoch, David was born in Braddock and graduated from Wilkinsburg High School (1960), Harvard College, A.B. (1964), Harvard Law School, LL.B (1967). His faith informed his service to others throughout his life. For 12 years, he served as a Ruling Elder on the Session of Sewickley Presbyterian Church. At the time of his death he served on the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Board of Directors (since 2013); the Fund for the Advancement of Minorities through Education (FAME); the Holocaust Center Commission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh; and the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh (Chair Emeritus). Previously he served as Chair of World Learning, Inc., the American Council on Germany and the Sewickley Library Board. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at the SEWICKLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 414 Grant Street, Sewickley. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Sewickley Presbyterian Church. Private interment will be in Sewickley Cemetery. MRAVINTZ THOMAS A. Unexpectedly, on Monday, October 26, 2015, Thomas went to be with his Maker. Tom lived in Saxonburg, PA and previously on the Northside of Pittsburgh. Tom was born on March 7, 1948, to the late John G. and Pauline (Cibik) Mravintz, Sr. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, John, Jr. and Joanne, Dennis and Gina, Bernard, Gregory, Alan and Katie Mravintz, Regina and Ron Jensen and Gloria and Mike Helwich; also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Tom enjoyed talking frequently about his Army Military years and he loved raising German Shepherd dogs. Tom will be missed by those who loved and knew him.
