McCARTHY JAMES "JIMMY" M. Born November 13, 1931, in Limerick, Ireland, died November 6, 2015. The youngest child of Richard and Josephine McCarthy, Wool and Hide merchants in "Mayville", Ballinacurra, Limerick. He leaves many his nieces and nephews in Dublin, Ireland. Jimmy was horse jockey throughout Ireland and England notably in the Curragh with Martin Quirke and with Tom Costelloe in Clare. He rode a number of winners most famously "Montcapitane" sire to the legendry Gold Cup Winner "Captain Christie" In 1977 Jimmy moved to America and worked for the family on a farm outside New York. He later moved to Pittsburgh to work on Barberry Farms in Sewickley. Jimmy was the beloved family friend of Bob, Lisa, Lauren and Kevin Simpson also of Kilbuck. Friends from the local pubs. There will be no visitation.
