OGLESBY CHARLES R., Jr. Charles R. "Bob" Oglesby, Jr., 65, of Eighty-Four, Nottingham Township, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at his home. He was born October 13, 1949, in Pittsburgh; a son of the late Charles and Olga Stockey Oglesby. Mr. Oglesby was retired as a lead electrician at Bruceton Research Center in South Park. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 613 in Finleyville. Mr. Oglesby had a great sense of humor and enjoyed Doo-Wop music and spending time with his children and family. Surviving are his wife, Dagmar Hansen Oglesby; two daughters, Alexandra and Roxanne Oglesby, both at home; a stepson, Matthew Gazdich of McKeesport; two stepdaughters, Kari Gazdich-Roka (Arjuna) of White Oak and Laura Gazdich (Shawn Minyon) of North Versailles; a brother, John McCoy of Seneca, PA; four sisters, Janice Fontana and Debra Booth, both of Finleyville, Karen Zovko of Pleasant Hill and Denise Colosimo of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Denny) Brennan; his children and their spouses, Cathy Brennan and Barbara Wagner; Richard and Catherine Brennan; Donna and Paul Freeauf; and Daniel and Karla Brennan; his grandchildren, Arthur and wife, Angela Constable, Ronald, Amanda and Joseph Brennan, Daniel Freeauf and Matthew Brennan; and his great-grandchildren, Anthony Lloyd and Hannah, Haleigh, Harmony and Caleb Sitman. He was a loving brother to Nancy and husband, the late Raymond Kness, Charles and wife, Mary Brennan, Carol and husband, the late Richard Visk, Barbara and husband, the late Raymond Coe, Leonard and wife, Bonnie Brennan, and Dennis and wife, Geri Brennan; and many nieces and nephews. He was well- protected and will be sorely missed also by his dog, Patty. Ronald was employed by Westinghouse Electric Company in Turtle Creek, PA from approximately 1957 until the day the plant closed in 1989. He was a devoted, long-standing member of St. Joseph's Church in Verona and a veteran of the US Army. Buddy was born in Pittsburgh, graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School, and was a proud and dedicated alumnus of Penn State University. He made his home in Philadelphia, working in the Sales Departments of Green Valley (apparel) and Thalheimer Brothers (metal brokers) until his retirement. He resided in Delray Beach for the past several years. In loving memory of Norma Gentile on the anniversary of her passing February 23, 2014, at the Masonic Village in Sewickley, PA. Born in Lawrence County on July 10, 1930, she grew up in New Castle, PA. She became a Registered Nurse in 1950 and had a very long and successful career at Allegheny General Hospital. She went on to earn her degree in Hospital Management and ultimately a Master's in Public Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. We were all very proud of her and her accomplishments. She will live forever in our hearts as one of the most influential people in our lives.
