MATURE PATRICIA FROST Age 83, of Beaver and formerly of Bellevue, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in UPMC Passavant-Cranberry after a short illness. Born June 13, 1931 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late George B., Sr. and Rosalia A. (Ganther) Frost, and was a resident of Beaver since 1986. A graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, with a B.S. in Education (cum laude) in 1964 and M.S. in Education in 1966, she was a retired educator after 31 years of teaching at Avonworth Elementary, Emsworth Elementary, and Rochester Institute of Technology. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR), The Thistle and Twig Club, Cornell Lab of Ornithology-Cornell University, and a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Beaver. She loved birding and herb gardening, was an avid reader who also enjoyed sail boating with her husband in the Chesapeake Bay. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Mature, with whom she celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on February 15, 2015, and were grateful for the good wishes extended to them in honor of the love they shared. She is also survived by a brother, George B. Frost, Jr. (Mary Lou) of McMurray; two sisters, Rosemary Holusha (George) of Phoenix, AZ and Beth (Elizabeth) Evans of Harrisburg; ten nieces and nephews, a very special niece, Amy Evans, David, Daniel, Mary Ellen and Timothy Frost, Jennifer Stahl, Terry Hurley, Molly Evans, Scott Evans, and Shannon Kobinsky; seven great-nephews; and four great-nieces; and a special cousin, Jean Stokes, New Jersey. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Church, with her pastor, Father Robert J. Miller officiating.
