PECORI PATRICIA C. (JONES) Age 86, she was the daughter of David H. Jones and Mary Helen Rothrock Jones. Pat was born May 17, 1927, one of five children. She was the beloved wife of the late Emil R. Pecori, Esquire, for more than 58 years. Pat endured chronically poor health for all of her adult life with grace, courage and dignity and without bitterness or self pity, serving as an inspiration to her family and friends. When physically able, she enjoyed volunteering at the Y.W.C.A. and later Meals On Wheels. Pat was the beloved mother of, and is survived by, Emil R. Pecori, Jr. (Rose), Patricia J. Pecori, and John V. Pecori; she was the grandmother of Emil R. "Rob" Pecori III (Beverly). Pat is survived by one sister, Rev. Frances (Tanny) Waldron; one sister-in-law, Rose Marie Pecori; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and her long-term wonderful caretaker, Linda Daneri. Pat was a devout Christian who loved literature, poetry, and music. She is much loved and will be greatly missed. He was born in Braddock, the son of the late George P. and Dorothy (Bileck) Billy; beloved brother of Marsha A. Billy, Georgene (Jack) Yunk and Daniel (the late Mary Ellen) Billy; cherished uncle of John (Michelle) Yunk, III and Brandon Billy; special great-uncle to Nathan and Ryan Yunk. George will sadly be missed by his many friends, especially his dear friend Glenn McNeish. MARATTA RUTH ANN (MARTI) Age 94, of Masonic Village, formerly of Coraopolis and John's Island, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Masonic Village of Sewickley. She was born in Canton, OH on April 6, 1919 to the late William P. and Lois I. (Lynch) Marti. On Feb. 21, 1976, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Dr. John W. Maratta. Loving mother of Dr. Jan W. and Carolyn Maratta of Moon Township and the late Craig Maratta who perished in action during the Vietnam War; cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of 19; sister of Marilynn M. Newton of Naples, FL, Donald V. Marti of Seabrook Island, SC, and the late Maxine M. Domerque, Elaine, Herbert, Rollin J., and Harold Marti. Ruth Ann was a Registered Nurse, working as a school nurse, private duty nurse, doctor's office nurse and industrial company nurse. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, Coraopolis Junior Women's, Sewickley Valley Hospital Alumnae and Auxiliary, Sewickley Women's Club, and Century Club. She was a gracious and kind lady with a genteel nature. DAVIS DOROTHY BOUR Age 88, of Bethel Park, on Monday, August 26, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Laddie D. Davis. Dorothy was the mother of devoted daughters, Susan (Henry) DeLuca, Mary Ann Davis, Jane Davis; and son, Stephen Davis of California. She was the adored grandmother of Hank, Elise and Maura DeLuca and Stephen Pierce Davis; daughter of the late Harry and Anna Bour; sister of Elizabeth Egan, Tom Bour (Nancy), the late William and David Bour; sister-in-law of Laura Bour and Madeline Donoughe; also survived by many nieces and nephews. “Dot,” “Mummy,” “Gram,” “Aunt Dorothy” was revered by her family and highly regarded by all who knew her. Dorothy's talents lay in both intellectual pursuits and the domestic arts. She finished the Sunday New York Times Crossword Puzzle with ease, read daily and played bridge until just recently. She taught her daughters and granddaughters to sew at a very young age and schooled many in the art of pie baking. All will remember her kind, gracious nature. Born in Pittsburgh on April 10, 1925, he was a son of the late Mary (Williams) and Howard T. Hardie, Sr. Surviving are his lovely wife of 65 years, Dagmar Elaine Hardie; two sons - Thomas L. Hardie; and his companion, Shirley Peeling, of Hollywood, MD, and Robert H. and his wife, Desiree of York Haven, PA; five grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren; and a sister, Lois McCullough of Newville, PA. Bud retired from the PA Fish Commission in 1987. He was a 50 year member of the Newport Masonic Lodge of 381 Free & Accepted Masons, Past Master of John A. Brashear Lodge #743, Past High Priest of Newport Royal Arch Chapter #238; Past Trice Illustrious Master of Juniata Valley Council #64, Past Commander of Pittsburgh Commandery #1, Right Eminent Past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Pennsylvania, member of the Scottish Rite valley of Pittsburgh, was coronated 33 Degree Mason, member of US Premier Conclave Red Cross of Constantine, member of Erin Council #6 Knight Masons; Past Sovereign Master of Rex Council #47 Allied Masonic Degrees, member of Penn Priory #6 Knights of York Cross of Honor, member of DeMolay International, member of Zembo Temple AAONMS, a former EMT/MAST in Millerstown, PA and a charter member of Zembo Highlanders Pipers. BRENZA ROBERT M. Age 77, of Gibsonia, PA, Pine Township, died peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was born on June 21, 1936, in Colver, PA to the late Peter and Julia Brenza. Bob earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and was a proud graduate of Penn State University, a tradition he shared with his four children. His favorite place to be was at home, where he enjoyed roaming the park-like yard, experimenting in the garden, tracking the financial news, and following the local sports teams. Visits from his local grandson and watching his grandchildren - near and far - learn and grow also brought Bob delight. His family came to recognize the sparkle in his eye when he was setting up one of his jokes. Bob was the devoted husband of Nancy O'Donnell Brenza for 45 years; the loving father of Christy (Ed) Kosakowsky of Allison Park, Holly (Stephen) Zoog of San Rafael, CA, Robyn Brenza of Baltimore, MD, and Jim Brenza of San Francisco, CA; and the proud grandfather of four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Pauline Smith of Ebensburg, PA; and his brother, David Brenza of Houston, TX. He was born on August 20, 1937 in West Mifflin to the late Jess Van and Bessie (Keefer) Saunders. He worked for the John Groves Co. and Busy Beaver as a warehouse manager before retiring. Rudy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean (Alexander) Saunders; two sons, Jeffrey (Marion) Saunders and Brian K. Charles is a 1948 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
