He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Josephine Fidei; brothers, Albert (WWII), Frank, Roy, John, and Lawrence. Surviving are brother, Martin (Nancy); sister-in-law, Angie; brother-in-law, Jim (Barb) Fidei; and children, Howard (Marilyn), McCandless, Ed (Angie), Carlsbad, CA, Gary, Knoxville, TN, and Marlene (Dan Milliron) of Marshall; grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Jennifer, Alan, Neil, Genesis, Josephine, Marissa, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Emerson, Kendall; nieces and nephews. A WWII veteran, Howard served on the U.S.S. Stephen Potter, participating in over 23 active raids, including Okinawa and Iwo Jima. He was an accountant at Blum Company, maintenance manager at Northway Mall. He attended CCAC (IT Certificates) and was also an employee in CCAC IT department. During retirement, he selflessly enjoyed and embraced children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. A role model and family man in all respects, he engaged in numerous family activities. KEATING ROBERT T., JR. Age 60, of Moon Township, formerly of McKees Rocks, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sewickley, on October 7, 1952. Beloved husband for 39 years to Carol (Macklin) Keating; cherished son of Betty (Kopp) Keating and the late Robert T. Keating, Sr.; loving father of Jennifer Keating (Ed), Angel Wissel (John), Kim Keating (Gracie) and Robert Keating III; devoted grandfather of John Wissel, Jr. and Alayna Wissel; brother of Elizabeth Keating, Kathleen Crivilli (George), and the late Barbara Keating Landa; including many loving brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Bob, currently worked for Pioneer Supply Company, was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the McKees Rocks American Legion, and former member of Forest Grove Sportsman Club. He proudly served in Germany in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had a relaxed nature and he enjoyed bonfires with friends, family and “Bob Seger”, all a part of his fun loving nature that drew friends from everywhere. The avid Steelers fan's hobbies included hunting, fishing, and traveling. Family will receive friends at the COPELAND MOON TWP. SCHAAL THOMAS C., RN Ph.D. Passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on August 21, 2013. He grew up on New York's Long Island. He loved the sea and summers at his home on Martha's Vineyard. His education brought him to the University of Pittsburgh in 1978, where he earned a Ph.D. in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. He became a professor of Nursing and mentor to students, and a counselor and mentor to his patients. He was dedicated to his family and was a wonderful husband, father and “Grampy Doc”. He was a deeply spiritual, humorous and kind man. Dr. Schaal is survived by his beloved family, his wife of 45 years, Patsy; his loving son, Robert Schaal and his wife, Elizabeth, of Mt.
