Margaret is also survived by her granddog, Teddy, who maintained a constant guard over her in her final years; and her dear friend of 30 years, Jean Dugas; along with special friend, Susie Levitt. Margaret, known to so many as “Peggy”, was a woman of deep faith who was consumed with her family and her love for them. There are not enough words to state how much she was loved and how she cared and showed compassion for everyone. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a kind, loyal and caring woman. She was also noted for her devotion to God and her church, her gentleness, stories of old, and her love for family, friends and a general love for life. She was an accomplished knitter, loved to dance, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Peggy was an excellent homemaker, staying home to care for her husband and children until her youngest was in 6th grade, at which time she took a job to help with her children's college educations. She worked for 19 years in the trust department of a downtown bank where she did federal estate tax returns. Special thanks to Anne and Lisa who took such loving care of Peggy the last year and a half and were very devoted to her. Thank you also to Brittany and Linda from Celtic Healthcare whose support and friendship were greatly appreciated. Everyone always said how beautiful Peggy was, but her true beauty was on the inside. She welcomed so many into her circle of life and she will be deeply missed by all. Friends received on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). ALLEN RALPH LEE 1937 - 2014 - On December 24, 2014, Ralph Lee Allen died peacefully at his home in Missoula, MT of complications from pulmonary fibrosis. “He loved and was loved deeply,” said his wife, Marian McKenna Allen, formerly of Pittsburgh. Born in Twin Falls, ID, Ralph spent four years in the U.S. Coast Guard, often on the “Northwind,” an icebreaker clearing paths in the ice for the Navy from the Arctic to the Antarctic Oceans. He then graduated from Carroll College in Helena, MT with degrees in biology and chemistry, and earned a Master's degree in biology from Oregon State University. He returned to his science education teaching position at The University of Montana, from which he retired in 1999. For the next 15 years, Ralph enjoyed his family and his grandchildren, traveling, and horseback riding on his Ovando Ranch. With his wife, Marian, he took many trips through the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area and The Blackfoot Valley. Friends were drawn to Ralph and his infectious joy.
