BUNK HELEN MARY Age 88, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away from this life on Sunday morning, October 26, 2014, at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars, PA. Helen was an active member of St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, as a Eucharistic minister, a member of RCIA and member of many church groups. She worked as the gift shop manager in North Hills Passavant Hospital until she retired in 1991. She was a professional seamstress and member of the North Pittsburgh Quilters Guild. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stephen Bunk in 1974, whom she married May 10, 1947; she was also preceded in death by sisters, Mary, Ann, Mildred, Vera, and Josephine; brothers, Adam, John, Stephen, Anthony, and Joseph; and grandson, Joseph Corbitt. Helen is survived by her children, Anita Corbitt and her husband, Terrence, of Omaha, NE, Monica Porter and her husband, John, of Gibsonia, PA; and her son, Kenneth Bunk and his wife, Joan, of Millersville, MD; grandchildren, Matthew Corbitt and his wife, Cathy, Sam Corbitt, Anne Porter Golding and her husband, Kenneth Golding, James Porter and his wife, Julia, Marseille Bunk, and Erica Bunk Ray and her husband, Stephen; three great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Jackson Ray and Spencer Corbitt; several nieces and nephews also survive. The Sacrament of the sick was performed by Father Albin McGinnis. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be conducted at St. John Neumann Church on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren.
