He also worked for the Bellevue Boro and Carlow college for many years. ADAM S. ROGINSKI Age 85, of Economy Boro, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, in Concordia of Cranberry. He was born November 13, 1934, in Ambridge, PA to the late Konstanty and Laura (Gogolinska) Roginski. He was a employed at AM Byers, Tambellini Foods and retired from Kraft Foods in 1992. Adam was a member of Good Samaritan Parish, Ambridge and a graduate of Ambridge High School class of 1952. He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1955 to 1957 during the Korean War. His passion in life next to the love of his family was fishing at his cabin in Pymatuning. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his brothers, Joe, Al, Edward, and Walter and sisters, Florence Woodruff and C. Lani Roginski. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Patricia (Quinn) Roginski; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Anthony Sobolosky; grandchildren, Allison, Lindsay (Adam) Sabolcik, Nicholas and Josh, all of Harmony Twp.; a sister, Irene Stueber and many nieces and nephews. THOMAS STEPHEN WEIS Age 92, of North East, PA, went home to be with his Lord on August 30, 2020. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Polish immigrants, Stephen and Cecilia (Neski) Weis. Mr. Weis was a veteran of the US Navy, a beloved Boy Scout leader and church volunteer who spent thirty-six years with US Steel. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Rita, moved to Townville, PA, where they built a home on forty-five acres. He attended Lyona Bible Church and was active in the Townville Fire/EMS, serving as an ambulance driver and later as president. Mr. Weis was known to all as a kind, generous, humble man whose eyes lit up when meeting others. He genuinely loved his fellow man. Mr. Weis was preceded in death by Rita, his beloved wife of forty years, and grandson, Matthew Weis. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his children, Timothy Weis (Trish), Catherine Reardon (Bill), Thomas Weis, Jr.; stepsons, Joe, Jason and Jeff Bradley; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. JAMES J. MIHALCIN Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, August 31, 2020, age 85 years, of Munhall. Son of the late George and Anna (Mihalenchik) Mihalcin. Beloved husband of Lorraine P. (Olup) Mihalcin; loving father of David (Sue) Mihalcin, James Mihalcin, Karen (John) Adamcik, Kevin Mihalcin; cherished grandfather of Casey and Jenna Mihalcin. Dear brother of Agnes “Aggie” Walman and the late Mary, Ann, Margo, Pauline, John and Helen; brother-in-law of the late Dennis Olup (Mary survives). Jim served our country in the United States Army. BARBARA J. (HIBBS) HILLWIG Age 74, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, August 24, 2020, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born November 11, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clifford and Catherine E. (Steinel) Hibbs. Barbara retired from USX Corp, where she was employed as a manager at the USX Monroeville Technical Center. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and earned her master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University. In 2015, Barbara was invited into the Carnegie Mellon University Order of the May, which celebrates her achievement of 25 consecutive years of giving. Barbara was a lover of animals and owned many dogs, including six Scottish Terriers. She was an avid supporter of Scottish Terriers Rescue of the Southeast. Barbara is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald A. Hillwig; and their Scottish Terrier, Lenny; brothers and sisters, Rebecca, Pamela and Roger (Joy) Hibbs, Sara Cousins, Penelope (Jack) Lane and Teresa (David) Pergola; nephews, Michael Hibbs and Bill Cousins; nieces, Michell and Alishia Cousins. JOYCE ANN (RAAKER) AUGENSTEIN Age 89, peacefully passed on to heaven at her longtime home in Bethel Park. Born to Andrew and Luverne Raaker on December 1, 1930, in Covington, KY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John, of 57 years. She is survived by her sister, Judith Smith; and her children, Jonilee (Wayne, deceased) Matragras, Jay (Sue), Jodi (Dan) Nilski, Jeff (Lynne), Jim, Jill, Jack and Jocelyn (Shawn) Conroy. She was our loving matriarch with twenty-two grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. DONALD B. KING Age 85, of Beechview, on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, passed away comfortably and peacefully at home. He was ready for God to take him home. Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marian; his children, Janice King, Joanne (Larry) Reilly and Jacqueline (John) Daniele; grandchildren, Leon (Joy) King-Kaduck, Jeremy (Christi) King-Kaduck, Brianna Stitt, John Paul and Julianna Daniele; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kayla King; several nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom he loved and will miss him dearly. JOE LAUER Age 70, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2020. He was the loving father of Brian Lauer, Jenna (Kevin) Kirkpatrick, Devon (Kristen) Lauer and the late Chris Lauer; proud grandfather of Addison and Aiden Kirkpatrick; son of the late Sylvester and Grace Lauer; and beloved partner of Janice Welch. He is also survived by cousin, Diane Baskind, and many other members of his extended family. Joe was a standout athlete in high school in both football and track for both South Hills Catholic and Chartiers Valley during the late 60's; later in life becoming passionate about golf. Although a great athlete, he was much more than that; Joe was very insightful, very creative and could sell anything to anybody. His charm and personality were very open and he captured the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends as he was loved by all.
