VICKERS GEORGE DONALD DON Age 78, was born May 1, 1935 in Martinsville, VA. Son of Dr. Luther Alexander and Letha T. Vickers. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2013. He was a father, resident and business owner of New Kensington for 45 years. He is a graduate of Hampton Institute in Chemistry and served two years in the Army as a second Lieutenant. He was married to Charlotte Conde Vickers. He was the president of SEIMCO (Scientific Electronic Instrument Manufacturing Company) INC. for over 40 years. His research and ideas supported the development of nuclear magnetic resonance technology. He attended the awarding of the Nobel Prize for the development in Sweden. He is survived by four children, George Vickers, Jr., Cheryl Wicks, Karen Vickers-Clemons, and Jennifer Vickers-Bodnar. He is the oldest sibling, survived by one brother and three sisters, Bill Vickers, Gloria Anderson, Tanya Scott, and Sandra Ashe; eight grandchildren and his cat Socks. WEAVER JAMES 66, of Pittsburgh, formerly of New Castle, PA, died on January 16, 2013, of heart disease. He was born on July 8, 1946, in New Castle, son of the late Lee C. Weaver and the late Margaret J. (Robinson) Weaver. A 1964 graduate of New Castle High School, he went on to earn an undergraduate degree in art education from Westminster College, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, and a master's degree in counseling from Duquesne University. He was a teacher in the Woodland Hills School District in Pittsburgh. He retired from teaching in 1999 after a 30 year career. He also worked as a concert caterer for the Electric Factory from 1978 to 1982 and was a club disc jockey from 1982 to 1988. He may have been best known as a publisher; a renowned autograph collector, he began publishing celebrity address lists - Jim Weaver's Autographs in the Mail - in 1982 and was the world's best known celebrity address list publisher until retiring in 2006. He is survived by numerous cousins and friends, who will have a Celebration of Life gathering at Geneva-on-the Lake, Ohio, a longtime family destination, this summer. MARTIN CLEMENT DARWIN (DENNY) Born in Pittsburgh, May 21, 1925 and expired peacefully in Sun City Center, Florida on June 7, 2013. He was born the second son of four sons to Clement and Alma Martin in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Kiski preparatory high school and was an outstanding football player and captain of the football team during his senior year. During World War II he was in the V 12 program in the U.S. Navy, a three-year intensive year-round program of engineering and military training. This program was designed to train naval officer /engineers. He served on the cruiser USS Denver during World War II in the Pacific theater. He reached the rank of ensign and was honorably discharged from the service following the end of World War II. After the war he returned and entered the construction business in Pittsburgh and worked with his father at Clement Martin, Inc. a general construction firm in Pittsburgh. Later at the end of a long and successful construction career he was Project Manager and supervised the construction of Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. He retired from the construction business and became the curator of the Carnegie Mellon Museum in Pittsburgh. In 1988, after the death of his loving mother, Alma, who he cared for dearly and lovingly, he moved to Florida. He lived happily in Florida the last 25 years of his life enjoying golf, traveling and visiting with his family and many Florida friends; He is survived by his brother, Richard Martin M.D.; his wife, Bonnie of Hamilton, Ohio. Richard's family includes: Mark and Peggy Martin of Seabrook Texas, Michelle and James McDulin of Seabrook, Texas and Melissa and Andrew Schulz of Greenwood Village, Colorado; his brother, Edwin Martin, (who proceeded him in death) has five children, Debby (Mark) Pusenelli of Illinois, Linda (Danny) Trusilo of Maryland, Cindy (Tom) Pezzi , Tom (Sandy ) Martin, and George (Megan) Martin of Pittsburgh; his brother, Arthur Martin, (who proceeded him in death) has one child Michael (Jan) and their children all reside in Orlando , Florida.
