DaVANE SANDRA G. (COLLURA) Peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018, was welcomed in the arms of her Lord Jesus. Beloved wife of 55 years of Roy DaVane; loving mother of Roy DaVane, Shelly (Sean) McGuire, Dana (Guy) Serrapere, Debbie (Ray) Riccelli and the late Danielle (surviving spouse Ed) Wharton; special grandma of 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; dear sister of Debbie Collura and Bonnie McCann; and special sister-in-law of Lois Ondish. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was a devout Christian true to her faith. She was a dedicated member of Faith Bible Baptist Church for 30 years and was a mail room supervisor for Cornerstone Television Network. The family would like to acknowledge their Pastor, Gary LaPietra for the guidance and support he has given to the DaVane family over the years. ( Sandra) Jacobs III; grandfather of Adam (Brunella) Bates, Megan (Philip) Sanzone, Nicholas Bates, Alyssa Jacobs, Grant Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs and Sarah Jacobs; brother of Marion (the late William) Mosberger and the late Jean (the late Herbert) Honsaker. Roy was a Korean War veteran and owned and operated Jacobs Auto Body for over 40 years before retiring. He was an avid bike rider, artist and enjoyed gardening. Born June 24, 1924, in Pittsburgh, PA daughter of the late John and Anna (Ciurlionis) Grazulis. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Anthony G. Zusinas, Sr.; beloved mother of Rosanne (Jerry) Majcher of Springfield, OH formerly of South Fayette, PA, Tony (Patty) Zusinas, Jr. of Moon Township and Janet (Jim) Ruperto, of Ohio Township, formerly of Moon Township; grandmother of Jennifer (Aaron) Groth, Jeff (Jess) Majcher, Anna (Dan) Wentz, Christine (Dan) Ros, Rose (Keith) Bull, Toni Zusinas, Steven (Carsen) Ruperto and Katherine Ruperto; great- grandmother of Abigail, Caden and Emery Groth, Brady and Anthony “Ace” Wentz, Emmalea Ros and Terra Ruperto; sister of the late Bernice Masilunas and John and Anthony Grazulis. Ann was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the Lithuanian Citizens Society and created costumes for the Neris dance group for 40 years. She enjoyed preparing delicious Lithuanian meals and she showered overwhelming love on her family for which they are forever grateful. McCLELLAND DOROTHY MARY WISHOSKI Age 89, of Upper St. Clair, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Charles Taylor McClelland; loving mother of Eileen Minnitte, Kerry (Don) Pysola, Elizabeth McClelland, Rebecca (Don) Adler, and James McClelland; cherished grandmother of 10; caring great grandmother of seven; adored niece and best friend of Betty Lou McDevitt; daughter of the late Ignatius and Alice Wishoski; also survived by many friends and relatives. Dorothy was a long time member of Our Lady of Grace Church, where she sang in the choir and was part of the Ladies of Charity. She was also past president of the Women's Guild. Dorothy was named Salvation Army Volunteer of the year for her dedicated work at “Call for Action”. Most of all, she cherished the lifelong friendships and friends she created over 89 years. The McClelland family would like to thank the staff at St. Clair Hospital and the Nurses on the rehabilitation floor at Kane Hospital for all their care and support given to Dorothy and her family. MIKLOS CATHERINE “KAY” Catherine “Kay” Miklos went peacefully on her “final trip” on Friday, April 6, 2018, while residing at Paramount Senior Living of South Hills. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Milko; mother, Catherine Milko; brother, Lawrence Milko; husband, George Miklos; son, Kenneth Miklos; and grandson, Eric Horvath. Kay is survived by her daughter, Denise (Steve) Horvath of South Park and David (Tammy) Miklos of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Jill (Joe) Bianco, Ken Miklos, Brian (Teresa) Miklos and Todd Miklos; great-grandchildren, Emma Jean, Mia Catherine and Sophia Bianco, Avery and Alison Miklos, and Tanner and Lydia Miklos. Kay was born on June 24, 1924, in Braddock and lived most of her life and raised her family in West Mifflin. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed baking for family and friends. Shopping and spending time at the casino were always top of her favorite things. ECKSTEIN BARBARA B. Loved and loving wife of James A. Eckstein (deceased), died April 7, 2018. Artist and accomplished flower arranger, Barbara was a master judge, popular lecturer, and teacher of floral design. Combining natural plant material and her inventive ceramic vessels, her arrangements could “sculpt space” with flowers. Barbara was a former docent at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Center, a member of numerous flower arranging organizations, and an instructor at Carnegie Mellon University Academy for Lifelong Learning. She will be missed by her loving children, John, Sue, and Tom Eckstein; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 12 Noon at Emanu-El Israel Cemetery/Greensburg. BURGE JAMES “JIM” KENNETH Age 92, of Clairton, passed away at home on Saturday, April 7, 2018. He was born January 8, 1926, in Clairton, to the late James and Elizabeth Long Burge. Jim was a loving husband, for 67 years, to his late wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Demis Burge, who passed away in 2015. He is survived by sons, James (Jane) M. Burge, Paul A. Burge, both of Clairton; daughter, Barbara (Mark) A. Murray of Clairton; grandchildren, Mary (Jeff) Trott, Anne (Jerome Ramsey) Burge, Christianna Murray; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jakob, Noah, Ian, and Sofie. Along with his parents and spouse, Jim was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian "Dutch", Robert, William; sisters, Esther MacNicol and Edna Lees. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, a graduate of Clairton High School, served his country in the Armed Guard Service of the US Navy during WWII on the Merchant Marine ship The SS Jonathon Worth, enjoyed Clairton High School football, frequenting the coffee shop to socialize, and spending quiet days at home. GRIFFITH CARL A. Age 63, of South Park and formerly of Port Vue, passed away at his daughter's home surrounded by his family on Friday, April 6, 2018. Born September 11, 1954, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Katherine (Rodehaver) Griffith. The owner/operator of Griffith Auto Sales and Neighborhood Dollar Store, both in McKeesport, Carl also worked as the head body man at John Naretto Buick and White Oak and Bowser Pontiac and also as an insurance adjuster. He also was active in his community, sponsoring local youth baseball and softball teams and donating a hundred smoke detectors to needy McKeesport families through the McKeesport Fire Department. Carl is survived by his daughter, Chastity (Ed) Gavalek of West Mifflin; his grandchild, Dakota Hobby; his step-grandchildren, Michael and Conrad Gavalek; his brother and best friend, Harry R. "Bun" (Marie) Griffith of Dravosburg; his brother-in-law, John Scott; his nieces and nephews, Johnny, Christa, Harry, William, and Victoria; his companion, Darcy Fitzgibbon; and his friends and huge helps, Jeff and Kathy. WINKLER ROSE MARIE (FERRI) Of Murrysville, a former longtime resident of Turtle Creek, age 91, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Beloved wife of Herbert P. Winkler. Rose and Herb would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 18, 2018. Loving mother of Joseph (Lorraine) Winkler and Christine (Patrick) Conto, all of Florida; precious grandmother of Justin Winkler and Heather (Mark) Garner, Courtney (Charles) Manges and Nicholas Conto; proud great- grandmother of Caitlin, Tristin, Trent, Michael and Anthony; sister of Henry (Audrey) Ferri of Mechanicsburg and the late James (surviving spouse, Kathleen) Ferri. OLIVER LAWRENCE “LARRY” J. Peacefully on April 7, 2018, age 95 of Monroeville. Regarded as the “Greatest Generation” Larry served his country in the US Army during WWII where he played in the Timberwoods. He was also a professional musician playing in Big Bands. He was skilled in playing the Flute, Saxophone and Clarinet. Larry also played for a private audience for the late Pope John Paul II. Among Larry's other accomplishments was a private pilot and his beloved daughters and grandchildren. Larry is survived by daughters, Lorraine Stephens, Canice “Candy” Sambol and Patti Masterson; special grandfather of Sonya Boyd and Ashley Quail. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
