GEORGIADIS CHRISSIE A. (ANASTOS) Peacefully, on November 13, 2017, Chrissie A. Georgiadis (Anastos), age 96, of Mt. Lebanon, beloved wife of the late George Georgiadis; cherished mother of Basil G. (Barbara) Georgiadis and Sophia (Nicholas) Geanopulos; beloved grandmother of Alisia, George Nicholas, George Basil (Elizabeth), Cassandra (Scott) and Jamie; also great- grandmother of Genevieve; sister of the late Athanasia Anastos. Chrissie was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her Greek Orthodox faith and family were the center of her life. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. EKLUND MARIETTA A. Age 90, of Cranberry Twp., passed away Monday, November 13, 2017, while under the care of Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community. Born April 2, 1927, in Linwood, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Florence Carothers Anderson. Marietta was skilled at needlepointing and created many decorations for her home and as gifts for friends. She was a phenomenal cook, and above all, a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Howard B. Eklund of Cranberry Twp.; her son, Robert H. Eklund of Plano, TX; and a sister, Lois Bemish of Rochester, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. William Anderson. A memorial service for Marietta will be held in the spring at Sherwood Oaks with the day and time to be announced. RUDOY ISRAEL J. Of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Husband of Judith; father of Jodi, Paul (Debbie), Bruce (Holly); grandfather of Drew (Hristina), Beth, Max (Lauren), Matthew, Madelyn and Zachary; brother of Shelley; and preceded by parents, Morris and Doris; and sisters, Barbara and Betty. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he began his career as a navigator in the United States Air Force where he concluded his military service as a Captain and Officer. He then began a nearly 50 year career as a Certified Public Accountant, the last 40 of those years with H2R CPA (formerly known as Horovitz, Rudoy & Roteman). He served as the firm's managing partner for nineteen years. He was a visionary that moved the Firm into one of the first in Pittsburgh to prepare computerized income tax returns and develop a Business Valuation service for the Firm. He ran the audit department, then the tax department before moving into Business Valuations and then becoming Managing Partner. He joined the firm with less than five employees and upon his retirement, H2R CPA was one of the 15 largest firms in Western Pennsylvania. Iz was a past President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and was also past president of Temple Emanuel of the South Hills. He was a founding board member of Jewish Residential Services and numerous other professional and community organizations including as an officer of CPA Associates International, Inc. His three main loves in life were family, the CPA firm and Pittsburgh Sports. The Steelers, Penguins and Pirates constantly occupied his interest, but his biggest sports passion was the University of Pittsburgh. The saying, “Hail to Pitt” always brought a smile to his face. LEITNER SUSAN L. Age 75, of Coraopolis, formerly of Robinson Township, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born in Sewickley on March 12, 1942, to the late Thomas and Mary. On May 15, 2004, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Albert M. Leitner, Jr. Beloved mother of Albert M. Leitner III (April), Mary R. Leitner, all of Coraopolis and the late Thomas P. Leitner who died on Sept. 27, 2013; cherished grandmother of Amber and Courtney; sister of Sally Price (Bill) Hopewell. Susan was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, O.E.S. and a former Girl Scout. She had been a nursing assistant at Ohio Valley Hospital. ZDRALE ANNA K. Age 82, of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in Jefferson Hospital. Anna was born in Pittsburgh on September 28, 1935, daughter of the late John I. and Anna (Evanovich) Puskar. She was a member of the former St. Mary's Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton. Anna was a retired Laborer for U.S. Steel Clairton works and a former Clerk for the G.C. Murphy Co., in Clairton. After retirement, Anna was drawn to the sounds of the casino. Anna was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Paul Zdrale, Sr.; and brother, John Puskar. Anna is survived by her son, Paul Zdrale, Jr. of Clairton; daughter, Sandy Campolongo of Elizabeth; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Weiner of Bethel Park whom she loved speaking to every day; brother-in-law, Denny (Myra) Zdrale of Harrison City; along with nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved cats, Suzie and Mikie. CROMIE HARRY WEBB Age 89, of Lexington, Virginia, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away at his home on Friday, November 10, 2017. Harry was a mechanical genius who was never formally trained. His ingenuity and talent for invention in multiple fields spanned his lifetime. Harry, along with Dr. George Magovern, developed the Magovern-Cromie suture-less heart valve, which aided in saving innumerous lives given its ability to perform open-heart surgery in a dramatically reduced amount of time. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Louise Cromie; his son, Mark Vincent Cromie; and his siblings, David Cromie, Jr., Virginia Cromie Hartman, Dorothy Cromie Daugherty, Betty Cromie Fifer, and his twin brother, Howard Cromie. He is survived by his grandchildren, Deirdre Louise Cromie, Grant Webb Cromie and his wife, Brittany Cromie; great-grandson, Emmett Webb Cromie; daughter-in-law, Lori Seymour Apgar; and many nieces and nephews. He owned and operated Donati Florist in Bethel Park from 1948 to 1998 with his beloved wife, Josephine, who preceded him in death. He is survived by three children, Pete, Carolyn, and Martha (Fred). "Buba" has six grandchildren, P.J., Thomas (Victoria), Tara, Jeffrey (Brooke), Tammi (Kevin), and Jason; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Alicia, Sophia, Tanner, Tucker, Sydney, Kendall, Danielle, Abigail, Santino, and Jackson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. GARDOM VINCENT F. Age 70, of Hopewell, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 14, 1946, to the late Vincent and Rose (Russo) Gardom. In 2017, he was preceded in death by his fiancée, Linda Rudeck. Beloved father of Gina Fraysier, of Avella and Denise Urick, of Hopewell; loving grandfather of Dylan Davis, Valerie, Cassandra, Timothy and Tyler Fraysier; his devoted twin sister, Marilyn (Robert) DeOrio, of Jacksonville, FL; also loving nieces and nephews. For over 30 years, Vince had worked at Citizen's Bank in various capacities and branches, retiring as manager. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Vince was friendly, outgoing, kind, and loved to joke around. He loved watching sports. He had attended University of Pittsburgh taking courses in finance. TAYLOR CHARLES "CHUCK" R. After a long, well-lived life of 89 years, Charles R. "Chuck" Taylor passed away peacefully at Weatherwood Manor in Greensburg, PA, on November 14, 2017. Born November 10, 1928, in Columbia Hospital in Wilkinsburg, PA. He was the only child of Robert and Regina (Mobus) Taylor. He was raised in Turtle Creek, PA and attended Turtle Creek High School. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, (Laura) Marjorie (Thompson) Taylor; son, Dr. Gary (Mary Alice) Taylor, of Greensburg, PA, daughters, Sharon Bieber, of Ovilla, TX, and Leslie (James) Minteer, of North Huntingdon, PA. He was predeceased by daughter, Patricia (surviving, Randy), of Houston, TX. He was an adoring "Pop-Pop" to eight grandchildren, Lauren and Rebecca Taylor, Ryan and Daniel Bieber, Jessica (Levi) Hein, Jacob Minteer, and Kevin and Louis Durney. He served in the US Army as a radar specialist at Ft. Dix, NJ during the Korean Conflict. Following that, he worked for Westinghouse Research Center in Churchill, PA and was an Electrical Engineer by trade. He raised four children in Monroeville, PA and was a member of Monroeville United Methodist Church. His integrity, sense of humor, and dedication to family were his greatest attributes. He was a dedicated Pittsburgh sports fan (especially loved his "Buccos") and was rarely seen without some sort of Pittsburgh paraphernalia on. His trademark was his Converse "Chuck Taylor" tennis shoes. He could often be found cheering loudly for his grandchildren at softball and soccer games. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid reader, birdwatcher, and crossword puzzle solver. He loved the beach and his many family trips to Myrtle Beach, SC and Destin, Florida. Chuck was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His sweetness and sense of humor will be missed by all.
