GRANNIS SUSAN A. (SNYDER) A Great Wife and Mom, unexpectedly was chosen by Angels on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from her home on Neville Island at the age of 53. She was born in Monaca on June 4, 1964 to Patricia (Madden) Snyder and the late Stanley Snyder. She was married to her beloved husband for 25 years, Robert Grannis. They had two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Sydney, all living together on Neville Island. Cherished sister of Sherri Snyder, Judi Snyder, Mark (Judy) Snyder all of Monaca; also, several loving nieces and nephews. Susan grew up in Monaca and graduated high school in 1982 where she excelled in basketball and softball. She obtained her LPN from CCBC and went on for a B.S. in Health from Slippery Rock University. Her nursing career included working as an LPN at Valley Care Nursing Home and as a substitute nurse for Cornell Elementary School. She was a former member of Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis. Susan will be remembered as loving, caring, and a good listener. She was a tech savvy Mom, always texting encouraging, supportive, eloquent words to her daughters daily. Her positivity spread to all she met. Appreciating her humor, she was the first to laugh at her jokes, you could hear her little snicker which just made everyone break up laughing. DIPPOLITO HELEN Age 92, of Waynesburg, formerly of Braddock, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in Rolling Meadows nursing home in Waynesburg. Helen was born December 23, 1924, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Rocco and Rose Orsini Sartorelli. A lifelong devout Catholic, Helen was a member of St. Ann's Parish in Waynesburg. Prior to moving to Waynesburg, she was a very active member of Good Shepherd in Braddock and enjoyed membership in the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and she loved to read. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dippolito; four sisters, Philomena Antrilli, Angeline DeFazio, Clara Dippolito, and Hilda Sartorelli; and several nephews and nieces. Helen is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Handley (Jim); grandchildren, Samantha (Mac), Jody (David), and Jimmy (Anne); and five great-grandchildren, Sadie, Ian, Eliza, Gillian, and Lucy.
