JOHNSON EDITH MARGARET (WILLIAMS) Edith Margaret Williams Johnson was born on December 25, 1912, the fourth of eleven children, in Pittsburgh, PA to Henry M. and Alice M. Williams. She departed this earthly life on Monday, July 24, 2017, in Mesa, Arizona at the amazing age of 104. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Henry M. Williams and Alice M. Williams; her husbands, Alex Fletcher and Wallace P. Johnson; siblings, Robert E. Williams, Garfield Williams, Alice M. Scott, Thelma W. Lovette, Henry M. Williams, Fletcher Williams, Jacob H. Williams, Frank A. Williams; and cousin/best friend, Beatrice Bankston. Edith is survived by her sisters, Annie N. Carter and Lois Jean Hord; brother-in-law Earl F. Hord and sister-in-law, Cecilia R. Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Edith was a devout Catholic and worked at St. Richards Catholic Church Convent and volunteered at Epiphany Catholic Church in Pittsburgh. Edith was like the “Pied Piper,” all the children loved to be with Aunt Edie. MANNAS DONNA L. Donna, age 72, of Oakdale, died Friday, August 18, 2017, in her home. She was born November 2, 1944, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Lewicki. Mrs. Mannas was previously employed as a waitress at Denny's Restaurant in Robinson. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, making cakes, quilting and taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Edward F. Mannas; children, Michael (Nicole) Mannas of Cheswick, Darnyll (Mark) Leute of McDonald, Denice (Mike) DiPietro of Imperial and James (Sandy) Mannas of NC; grandchildren, Maranda Reilly, Bill Reilly, Sherri Mannas, Sara DiPietro, Emily DiPietro, Eric Mannas, Sam Mannas; also surviving is one sister, Jean Maraccini of Kennedy Township. Ida was one who lived for her family. When visiting her daughter in Michigan, she was a wonderful Honorary Teacher's Aide and was loved by all as “Grandma Ida”. Upon it's conception, Ida started working for Meals on Wheels at St. Pamphilus Church and volunteered her time and talents there for over 30 years. Some of Ida's hobbies included gardening, quilting, sewing, canning, and keeping up with the lives of everyone in the family. She was also known for baking the best cookies for weddings and holidays, especially her Lady Locks. Ida was the loving glue that connected and held together family and friends across the generations. PITTMAN STANLEY M. Age 89, of Saxonburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 17, 2017. Beloved husband for 69 years of the late Geneva (Elza) Pittman. Loving father of Elaine (Albert) Vagnozzi, Geneva (Richard) Cale, Stanley (Dottie) Pittman, Jr., Dennis (Jeanine) Pittman and Burl (Barbara) Pittman; brother of John (Dora) Pittman; also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Stanley was a devoted member of Gospel Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, gardening, listening to Blue Grass music and playing cards. Stanley especially enjoyed the winters spent in Florida. Above all else, he loved the numerous family events that resulted from all of his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
