ARELT RUTH LAVERNE (KRAEUTER) Age 87, of Cabot, PA (formerly of Hudson, FL, and Bethel Park, PA), on Friday, August 4, 2017, daughter of the late Lawrence and Pauline Kraeuter; survived by her children, Mark (Peggy) Arelt of Bethel Park, PA, Kirby (Joe) Palmisano of Massillon, OH, and Tracey (Randy) Smith of Lower Burrell, PA; preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Arelt; and her sister, Lois Bustinger. A graduate of South Hills High School, Pittsburgh, PA, and from Capital University in Columbus, OH, a parish worker at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh, PA, a parish worker and youth group leader at Ruthfred Lutheran Church in Bethel Park, PA. DEORAS BHANU R. At age 94, on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was born in Nagpur (India), the fourth child out of five, to a prominent physicist and professor at Nagpur University. Bhanu was educated at Nagpur University and received his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in England. He came to the US in 1958 as a Ford Foundation Scholar at what is now Carnegie Mellon University. He returned to India and worked as a Chief Metallurgist at Durgapur Steel Plant in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. He eventually immigrated to the United States in 1972. The family settled in Pittsburgh – a town that he was familiar with from his days at CMU and in many ways similar to Durgapur, another steel town. His career was devoted to working in the steel industry and work was his main passion. He was an active member of the Indian community in Pittsburgh and had many friends. Beloved husband of the late Kamal; loving father of Satish (Jyoti), Sunil (Kiran) and Monica (Rama M. Joshi); and cherished grandfather of: Ketan, Mita, Akshay (Rebecca), Aneesh, Gauri and Rohit; dear brother of Padma. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. WATKINSON LETITIA "JANE" (MONTGOMERY) Age 88, of Bethel Park, formerly of Monongahela, on August 3, 2017, of pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife of the late George E. Watkinson for 56 years; loving mother of Amy (Terry) Bilkey and Jane (Ron) Thompson; doting grandmother of dearly loved granddaughters, Catherine and Jocelyn Bilkey; dear sister of Sandra Hernandez. Also survived by two special friends who cared deeply and kindly for her in recent years: Ellie "423" Fox and Julie "Flamingo" Valentine. Preceded in death by her parents, Fred W. and Edna Marina (Shenkle) Montgomery; and both brothers, Fred W. and James T. C. Montgomery. Jane found joy in every day, made every stranger into a friend, and loved everyone and everything -- except for her given name "Letitia". She graduated from Springdale High School and Thiel College; she then worked as an executive secretary for Koppers in Pittsburgh. Jane was well known for her musical talents, particularly as a wedding soloist and a skilled pianist. She and George shared a deep love of music (especially opera), travel and dancing. FUSACCHIA ORLANDO L. Age 91, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was born February 27, 1926 in McKeesport. Son of the late Gesualdo and Angeline Fusacchia. He was the husband of the late Agnes (Kovac) Fusacchia. A hero, WWII navy veteran, distinguished discharge, followed by a lifetime of pursuing his craft, the greatest painter in the world. He worked two jobs, never took vacation or sick days, personified the world “sacrifice” in the name of giving his family the life we have now. He will be forever our hero. Ms. Gianfrancesco, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Damiano DeFilippo, was a native of Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her nine siblings. She retired from Rockwell International as an executive secretary. She had lived in Thomson, GA for the past eight years. SCHRAMM ALEXANDER D., Maj. USAF, Ret. Major Alexander D. Schramm, age 62, on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Son of the late Jack Henry Schramm and Jean Marie Schramm (née Brennan). Alex is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Jeanette Tyann Hollenbeck; his son, Mark A. Schramm, of Pittsburgh, PA, his daughter, Madison V. Schramm; and son-in-law, Dani K. Nedal, of Boston, MA; his brother, Jack Henry Schramm and family, of Ruckersville, VA, his brother, Henry Otto Schramm and family, of Philadelphia, PA; and faithful companion, his dog, Elvis. Major Schramm was a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Class of 1977. He received his M.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1985. He served in the Air Force as a Telecommunications Engineer in a number of foreign and domestic posts, including at the Defense Communications Agency, the Pentagon, and at NATO South headquarters. After retiring from the Air Force, Major Schramm accepted a position at Union Switch and Signal in Pittsburgh where he served as a Director of Signal Engineering. He retired from Union Switch in 2015. He loved dogs, live music, photography, movies, and Pittsburgh. Friends received at MCCABE BROS., INC. LENART DANIEL Age 95, of Trafford, died peacefully on August 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 6, 1922, in Trafford, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Lenart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, in 2014. Daniel is survived by his four sons, Daniel J. Lenart (Patricia) of Harrison City, Robert Lenart (Patricia) of South Fayette, James Lenart (Renee) of Monroeville and William Lenart of Erie; his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Lenart (Toni) of Brentwood; and a sister, Wanda Czapor (Edward) of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Daniel was preceded in death also by his brothers, Stanley, Joseph, Frank; and a sister, Jenny Kuharski. Daniel worked at Westinghouse Electric in E. Pittsburgh for 42 years and retired as an Industrial Engineer. He was a lifelong member of St. Regis Church, Trafford and he served in several ministries including the Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus and parish council.
