Joseph Rege was a military veteran who served for four and half years in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a Union plumber for over 30 years (Local 27). Rege grew up camping as a young child in Erie and continued that tradition with his own family; where he enjoyed the water, boating, and countless campfires. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling to all 50 states with his beloved wife, Lorraine by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine D. Gilligan (Volpatti); parents, Henry R. and Catherine G. An avid traveler, she met her late husband, Anthony O'Dea, in Europe, and they were married on the Rock of Gibraltar in Madrid, Spain. Lola retired from the Brashear Association after 30 years of service helping those in need on the Southside of Pittsburgh. She was a passionate reader and loved art. She was a tireless advocate for women and human rights. Roberto Montelibano and Maria Teresita Montelibano; brother of Christian Miko Montelibano and Kimberly Montelibano Heil; also survived by nieces, Katrina Heil, Ava Gonzalez, and Grace Gonzalez, and nephews Tristan Heil, Alejandro Montelibano, Maxwell Montelibano, James Montelibano, Nicholas Gonzalez, Thomas Gonzalez, Diego Leaver, and Alex Gonzalez. Born in Manila, Philippines, Joji graduated from Stanford University in 1991 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, and then went on to pursue his artistic dreams, dancing professionally with the San Francisco Ballet, Singapore Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet, and at a workshop with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. After completing his artistic calling he then earned an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Southern California and a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard University Divinity School. In 1999, he met his wife, Gabriella at the sociology department at Harvard, where he worked part-time while she completed her Ph.D. in Sociology. Married in 2001, Gabriella and Joji lived in Los Angeles where Joaquin was born, and in Qatar where Sofia was born. They eventually settled in Pittsburgh in 2007 where Sol was born and Joji rose to the top of his field professionally as a cyber security expert. Joji was an avid reader, triathlete, marathon runner, Brazilian jiujitsu enthusiast, and a yoga and Vipasshana meditation practitioner for over 25 years. He was a madrigal singer and an accomplished guitarist and pianist who loved to have impromptu concerts with his friends and family. He also spoke seven languages and traveled extensively throughout the world. Although Joji didn't know how to cook, he was always an eager eater and loved to take his family to restaurants. Some of Joji's favorite activities included dancing in the kitchen to 80s music, taking his family to the Renaissance Faire, and going on bike rides, and skiing in the mountains. He loved spending time with his wife and children, playing video games and guitar with his son, Joaquin, playing Sudoku and reading with his daughter, Sofia, going to playgrounds with his daughter, Sol, and enjoying lazy Sunday family snuggles. PRIN WILLIAM, M.D. William Prin, M.D., 86 years old, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Bel Air, Maryland. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. William was born on September 15, 1930 in Wilmerding, Pennsylvania to Joseph A. and Felicina Rey Prin. He graduated, with honors, from Turtle Creek High School in 1949, and grew up on his parents' farm in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. From a very young age his life's ambition was to become a doctor, which he went on to achieve with distinction. William earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and received his M.D. in 1957 from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. While studying medicine at Hopkins, William met and soon married his fellow classmate and wife of 40 years, Evi Keskkula of Tallinn, Estonia. After completing his internship at Cincinnati General Hospital and two years of military service at The Center for Disease Control in epidemiology, he and Evi settled in Pittsburgh to continue their medical careers and raise their family. Dr. Prin became a specialist in the area of pediatric hematology- oncology, and was a senior pediatric staff member at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Magee Women's Hospital. Additionally, he was Emeritus Professor of Pediatric Hematology at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His passion and dedication to caring for his patients made a profound impact on the lives of many young children and their grateful families. William's desire to improve people's lives went beyond his medical practice. His invaluable advice, knowledge, and life experience was indispensable to family, friends, and many with whom he came in contact. Dr. Prin was an active member of The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association. He very much enjoyed attending reunions in Baltimore and keeping in touch with former classmates. Additionally, he volunteered his time to champion various professionally related organizations. William is survived by and was the proud and loving father to his children: Claire (Jefferson) Blomquist, of Bel Air, Maryland, Alice (Roderick) Ciaccio, of Houston, Texas, and Linda (David) Brake, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
