LUTZ GRACE VIORA August 8, 1928 - May 1, 2015. Age 86, of Oakdale, PA, passed away on May 1, 2015, at Consulate Health Services at North Strabane, Washington County. Grace is survived by her husband of 62 years, Floyd Lutz, Jr. Born in the Conyngham Valley of Luzerne County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna and Carlton Dietterich. The family moved to Imperial, PA, where she met her future husband, Floyd, at the Valley Presbyterian Church. They were married June 6, 1952, and lived on the Lutz family farm near Oakdale. Grace worked as a bookkeeper in Pittsburgh from 1944 to 1952, then used her office skills for the farm and Floyd's excavating business. She was a bus driver for 25 years in the West Allegheny School District, where her popularity with the students resulted in an invitation to appear on Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood where she and Fred Rogers introduced new students to school buses. Grace and Floyd loved to travel, and were able to visit 49 of the 50 states in their RV, including driving to Alaska four times. She kept binders full of photos of these trips to remind her of those times later in her life. Surviving in addition to her husband, are five sons, Clifford (Diane) of State College, PA, Rex (Andrea) of Aiken, SC, Neil (Diane) of West Valley City, UT, Keith (Gail) of Oakdale, PA, and Kent of Carvel Beach, MD; plus six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Carlton, Jr.; and a sister, Glenda. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
