STITT Dr. WILLIAM F. Age 79, of Ft. Myers, FL (formerly of Upper St. Clair, PA) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Born and raised in Dormont, Bill was the son of the late James and Lavina Stitt; and husband to the late Joan (Blandford) Stitt. He was the loving father of James (PJ Vladuchick) and William Jr. (Kimberly); he was Pop Stitt to Jimmy, Breanna and Billy; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating from Washington & Jefferson College, and then University of Pittsburgh Dental School, Bill served as a Naval Dental Officer in Pensacola, FL, before returning to PA, and serving the South Hills communities' dental needs for nearly 40 years. He was an accomplished Theater Organist (as well as guitar, harmonica, accordion and mandolin) despite not being able to read music. He was active in several Theater Organ Societies. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, where he will be interred alongside his wife.
