CIPKALA THERESA M. AGE 87, LON...

CIPKALA THERESA M. Age 87, longtime resident of Monroeville and more recently of Plano, Texas, on Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Edward T. Cipkala; daughter of the late Stanley and Marianne (Kazanecki) Bodzenski of Braddock, Pennsylvania; and sister of the late Felix Bodzenski, Stanley Bodzenski, Sigmund Bodzenski, and Genevieve “Jinx” (Bodzenski) Balewski; loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by daughters, Melanie (Mark) Shellenbarger of Denver, Colorado and Melissa (Bill) Scott of Plano, Texas; by her most precious grandchildren, Ashley Scott and Ethan Scott of Plano, Texas; and many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy through the years. Theresa worked for 30 years as Executive Secretary at the Holiday House supper club in Monroeville. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Highland Springs continuing care community in Dallas, Texas for their wonderful and loving care. Visitation Friday, September 6 from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL, INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (one block east of Mosside Blvd.-Rte. 48). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at North American Martyrs Church at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7 with Father Joseph Luisi as celebrant. Interment following at Good Shepherd Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to Highland Springs Resident Care Fund, 8000 Frankford Road, Dallas, Texas 75252, in memory of Theresa Cipkala.
