SANCHIOLI ISADORE IZZY Age 91, the unofficial mayor of Lorigan Street in Bloomfield. Died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, surrounded by his loving family and wife of 57 years. The son of Italian immigrants, the late Alessandro and Dora, Izzy served in the 14th Armored Division of the U.S. Army during World War II. Together with his late brother, Guy, he carried on the Italian bakery founded in Bloomfield by his father, Sanchioli Brothers Bakery, which continues today to be run by his sons, Alex and John. He was an avid Allegheny River boater, a loyal boxing and Hornets then Penguins fan. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Farren) of Swissvale; his daughter, Ellen (Michael) Foreman; his sons, Alex (Marilyn), Carl (Debby), and John (Lisa) Sanchioli; his three granddaughters, Jillian, Ena, and Anna; his six grandsons, Nikolai, Nathan, Derek, Joshua, James, and Adam; his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sanchioli and her son, Guy; his sister, Mary Dittler and her daughter, Donna and son, David; and his cousin, James (Lucille) Sanchioli and their sons, Jonathan and Doug; as well as an abundance of loving friends. Family and friends received Friday 2-8 p.m. at WINTER FUNERAL HOME, PC, 4730 Friendship Ave. Funeral Saturday 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Parish, Friendship Campus.
