KOETTING JOHN Age 93, of Friendship Village, Upper St. Clair, PA, on February 13, 2015. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Mildred Wahlert Koetting; loving father of Peggy Hayeslip (Paul Van Akkeren) of Rockville, MD and Sally Wade (David) of Upper St. Clair, PA; grandfather of Shaun Hayeslip (Alejandra Duran), and Kelly and Molly Hayeslip; and great-grandfather of Sebastian Hayeslip Duran. Predeceased by sisters, Mary Fitzgerald and Janet De Groot; and brother, Herbert Koetting; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. A good friend to many. John was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, and received a BSME in the accelerated engineering program at the University of Wisconsin in 1945. John held numerous management positions at Westinghouse Electrical Corp. where he retired after 40 years of distinguished service. He was a lifelong card player, golfer, volunteer with multiple organizations, and frequent traveler. A special thank you to the employees of Friendship Village, whom he dearly loved (Mr. Small Portions). In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army or the Employee Appreciation Fund of Friendship Village. A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held in the St. Clair Room of Friendship Village, 1290 Boyce Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241 on Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
