VARLEY JAMES F. Age 83, of Whitehall, formerly of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2014. Loving father of Shannon; son of the late Ann and the late William Varley; brother of the late William and the late John Varley; cherished friend of Gregory Fajt. Jim was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Katz School of Business. He served as a medic in the Korean War and loved animals, especially his cats, Stella and Vivian. The family would like to thank his physician, Abe Friedman, for many years of kind care, as well as the doctors and nurses at Shadyside Hospital. There will be no services as per his wishes.
