BELL WILLIAM N. BILL Age 84, of Kiski Township, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in LifeCare Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born November 9, 1930, in Indiana, he was the son of the late John S. and Katherine (North) Bell. Bill lived in Kiski Township since 1956, and was a 1948 graduate of Vandergrift High School. He served our country as a captain with the United States Army. Bill was the owner of Bill Bell Alignment Service, Inc., a business he started on Washington Ave. in Vandergrift in 1962, before moving to its present location in the Paulton section of Washington Township in 1976. Bill was a member of the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #437 in Apollo, the Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh, and past potentate and past president of the MASA. Bill was a clown for the Shrine Ding Dong Bell and on the Board of Directors at the Shriner's Hospital in Philadelphia for many years. He was a member of the Hillbillies Clan #53. We must all remember Gertrude the most lovable ass. Bill was involved in the girl's Rainbow Drill Team and the American Legion in Vandergrift for 56 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose M. (Collins) Bell of Kiski Township; sons, John A. Bell II of Kiski Township, William N. Bell, Jr. of Davenport, FL, and Michael H. (Christine) Bell of Manning, SC; daughter, Sara Jane (Kevin) Hice of Kiski Township; eight grandchildren; and a great- grandson. Friends will be received on Friday, November 28, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the CURRAN - SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. A Syria Shrine Harige Clown Memorial Service will take place Friday at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held in Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, Spring Church, on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Terri Swails officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Spring Church.
